WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
kimheeseon:
I totally know what you are talking about.
I have never been to Malaysia so I do not know how hapas in Malaysia are viewed. But I have been to East Asia, and really, hapas are not that big of a deal there. In my modest opinion, Asians girls look perhaps even better. Maybe that is just because I am Park Ji Yoon and I think that I am pretty hot. The mixed Malaysian hapas I know look almost exactly the same as pure Malaysians,it's not like there is a big difference.

Half-Chyna Doll,
[my dad knows like around 10 languages.]
You're not making this all up, are you?
Cuzzzzzzzzz I am DAYAM impressed with your entire family!!! WOW!!!!!!
[my mom is 100% chinese and speaks cantonese (which is her main language, what she speaks with relatives and at home), but she also speaks mandarin fluently. she also knows tagalog, fukinese, and ok spanish. she was born in south china, but she and her 7 siblings lived in the philippines from when she was a baby (but we're not filipino at all).]
I've met 'a few' Chinese from the Phillipines. They all spoke Fukiense.
Do you speak any Tagalog or Spanish?
[i guess i can speak 2 dialects because my relatives speak fukinese. i grew up with fukinese at my cousin's house and nvr realized how diff it was from canto until recently. canto was my first language, but i only speak it with my mom n grandma. i hope to improve. i'm pretty proud that i can speak tho.]
:)))))))))
I speak Fukienese too (family dialect), but very minimal Canto.
:)))))))))
Mannnnnnnn, where do I find hapa girls like you? Not many Chinese-speaking Chinese hapas back home. Mostly Japanese, Filipino, Korean, and Hawaiian+Chinese hapas on me island. Many Chinese hapas in Hawaii are the children of 3rd-4th generation Chinese fathers who themselves know very little Chinese language/almost nothing at all.
[my caucasian dad actually knows mandarin and canto too, but i speak with him and my bro in english. we dont have that problem where the white parent doesnt kno the native language like in some IR households (like at my cousin's house where the mom is white).]
WOW!!! Hmmm... well, my dad doesn't know squat except for a little Malay and Japanese language ability.
Your cousin??? WHAT THE??? You have hapa cousins...??? GEEZ... I don't have any!!! :((((((
How many are there? How many males and FEMALES? What age groups? :)))))))))
Do they know any Fukienese?

[Good to hear from you guys again. Jay is still like bad ol' Jay. Never stops his bad mouthing. You guys should check out Miami and West Palm Beach. Those chicas are all over this mestizo popi. They look just like our hapa sisters, except for sexy spanish accent...aye yai yai seniorita es mucho bonita. Sorry, start becoming like Jay now. Next stop will be Guam for another job transfer....=(.]
Alright, brother!!! Glad to here you're finally out of Shittsburg, PA!!!
Not exactly the best place for us hapa folk who have a craving for hapa booty.
Yeah, when I was in Florida last summer I noticed that some that some of em young chica tourists from Venezuela were quite hapaish in appearance. They were definitely a treat!!! Too bad they knew next to nothing when it came to their English speaking ability.
Guam doesn't sound that bad. They may actually have a fairly decent hapa population. FYI- I also heard many Filipinos live there.
BTW- are your parents still in Shittsburg?

to Malaysian-Eurasian Gal18:
i agree! minor or not, plastic surgery changes what a person was born with. i'm not saying it's necessarily bad, but it is fake. if kim hee sum (n only she knos if she really did) did do it just to b more beautiful, that's pretty low. as i said before, i think she looks hapa anyway.
to hakka guy:
yeah i actually never got a really negative comment directed at me, but ive heard insults about IR marriages. ppl make race out to to be this HUGE thing, and it really shouldnt be. ppl on this msg board do it all the itme too w/ the incessant debating about who's the most gorgeous. ugh i hate the term half-breed. i dont mind that ppl r curious. we r unique looking and rare in most places. yeah i'm a hapa who speaks cantonese (ok) and english (fluent). how about u?

KHS,
I don't know. Maybe she had minor plastic surgery and that's what my boyfriend told me. Minor or major plastic surgery is still considered as plastic surgery. No difference.
Young,
lolz. Hahahha............What? Thought we are a perfect couple? lolz. Nahhh........You are a nice person but the problem is, you are too far away. Hahhaha........Kidding. My boyfriend? How did he end up in Malaysia? Well, he moved here with his family and he's studying in the same college as mine. That's how :p. But, he's a wonderful guy and that's what I like about him.

to kimheeseon:
It's NOT like all white and hapa guys are all stuck up! the hapa guys on this board are not indicative of all hapa guy u kno. it's also NOT like all chinese guys are so modest. they can be stuck-up just like al other ppl. ugh. quit with the racial profiling already!
to young: yes, as i look caucasian, ppl are SO amazed when i start speaking cantonese.
to jay: my mom is 100% chinese and speaks cantonese (which is her main language, what she speaks with relatives and at home), but she also speaks mandarin fluently. she also knows tagalog, fukinese, and ok spanish. she was born in south china, but she and her 7 siblings lived in the philippines from when she was a baby (but we're not filipino at all). she came here when she was 17. i'm cantonese and i speak it. eh i'm not completely fluent and i have an accent. i understand some of it if they speak on tv. i understand it best when my relatives speak it. i guess i can speak 2 dialects because my relatives speak fukinese. i grew up with fukinese at my cousin's house and nvr realized how diff it was from canto until recently. canto was my first language, but i only speak it with my mom n grandma. i hope to improve. i'm pretty proud that i can speak tho. my caucasian dad actually knows mandarin and canto too, but i speak with him and my bro in english. we dont have that problem where the white parent doesnt kno the native language like in some IR households (like at my cousin's house where the mom is white). my dad knows like around 10 languages. so there's my asian breakdown!

to half chyna doll:
most of the time when people stare alot
it is because they are curious. hapas
are not that common, so when people see
one they wanna get a good look. what i
don't like are negative comments.
Jay asked a good question to half-chyna
doll. I want to ask that of all the
hapas:
How many hapa's here can speak an
asian language?
