"Dude, BART is broken down every other day. What a sack of S*** the Bay Area is. You could go pedestrian hunting with one of the Muni buses seeing as they kill people standing on street corners in SF twice a week as well SF is an overpriced ghetto filled with whinos and dorks." "Too many wierdos, bumbs and ex-hippies."
Hey got facts or just generalizations? How about a spell-check, at least? Whiner or wino? Weirdo? Bumbler? Bum? Hey, we all make typos, but when you're throwing out insults, not only with no evidence, but ones you can't even spell right, I think maybe you should find a better way to spend your time. Besides, LA has winos, hippies, drug dealers, police brutality, crack wars, riots, as well.
San Francisco may have hippies, but at least they're not as annoying as all the damn East Coast liberals in search of "diversity" who are moving into LA:

"Dude, BART is broken down every other day."
Really? Does it? I never knew that. Well, you learn something new every day, don't you?
"SF is an overpriced ghetto filled with whinos and dorks."
Please don't lump the Bay with SF. The rest of the Bay hates SF too.
"time to move to a real city"
A real city, huh? So, where is this "city?" All of LA looks like a giant suburb. There are just tracts homes everywhere. So, where is this "city" life?
So, one guy down below says LA is full of gangs, and now this guy says the Bay has more crime. So, what is it guys?

Kudos my friend, since the economy has gone South, the Bay area has been hit hardest and continues to fall in terms of: quality of living, jobs, wages, housing and everything else you can think of. Every day there is some freak coming out of the woodwork and kidnapping or molesting kids on the sidewalks or from insider their bedrooms. The police here are a bunch of morons who can't keep the homeless transients under control and the liberal politicians just fan the flames. I'm packing my bags and moving to LALA land before this place sinks any lower.
And to the Toi San Jai dork, who cares about your pathetic little street gangs. Gangs are for kids, and you sound like you need to grow up. Once you get out of High School you will see all those pozers you looked up to in so called gangs were full of crap just like you are. Bragging about gangs as a selling point for the Bay Area, oh yeah I want my kids growing up there. See you at the beach!

All you LA freaks comparing Bay Are to LA, get real! Talk about unsafe roadways, unlike LA which has a high speed car chase broadcast like 3 times every freaking day of the week, the Bay Area has not had a single one of those in the past several years (not to mention that the classy Bay Area newscasters wouldn't interrupt programming to give attention to these morons, which only further increases those sick freaks wanting attention on the news). The Bay Area doesn't have sickos shooting people randomly on the freeway like LA either. The smog is atrocious in LA and the traffic ain't much better than SF.
Plus the Bay Area is much more multicultural than LA/So Cal. Sure, it's not perfect, but at least the Bay Area doesn't have the never ending racial wars between the races, black vs. latino, white vs. black, asian vs. everyone else. LA is as balkanized as any place in the old south. To hell with that.

"The Bay area is defunct like your topic. Who cares about this anyways? Sorry but the Bay area is in transition when it comes to transportation, they don't know whether they want to copy LA or NY thus the traffic situations are as confusing as the systems themselves."
Copy LA? Uhh... we have BART, which has been in existence for 20 some odd years. What do you have? Like TH Lien said, your subway system is a complete joke! Remember the Hollywood stars sinking?!?! hahahahahah
"in LA, gang capital of the world"
Also know that your biggest Asian gang, Wah Ching, was formed in the Bay Area, and are pretty much defunct here now. So, in other words, you just scoop up our garbage.

Hell no,
where would you raise your kids, then? F***ing Mississippi?
If you're gonna slag something, then back it up.

Dude, BART is broken down every other day. What a sack of S*** the Bay Area is. You could go pedestrian hunting with one of the Muni buses seeing as they kill people standing on street corners in SF twice a week as well. SF is an overpriced ghetto filled with whinos and dorks. The .com craze is over -time to move to a real city, get a haircut and get a real freakin' job.
I used to think LA was bad but then I went up to the Bay Area and couldn't wait to get back to LA. You would have to have lived in both places to understand this. As far as raising your kids, all kids are bound to immitate pop stars, rappers, etc. when they are teens, it's what teens do. You can't escape this anywhere unless you lock your kids in a cage from age 12 - 18. If you live in the San Gabriel Valley area, chances are your kids will do just fine. Elsewhere in Los Angeles is a coin toss.
Believe it or not, the Bay area is dirtier and less safe for raising a family than LA. That's why people move from the Bay Area to So Cal when they have matured and are ready to raise a family. You just have to live there to see for yourself. Too many wierdos, bumbs and ex-hippies lurking around in the backwoods of SF/Silicon Valley, not to mention the most unsafe roadways. What a mess, thank God for LA!
