WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
Superficiality is probably one of the accurate ways to describe people who can't go on without the surgeries. Back in the 80s, i remembered Japanese women who wanted to look like Brook Shield. It's a pity to hear of see people needed to look good to feel confident around others. Well guess what, in the end, it's the internal beauty that's gonna count: look at the fat or not so pretty women, they have a man or things going on for them! Unless one's involved in a scarry accident or facially distorted from birth defects, we should all be grateful of having all facial organs functional.

Hello, Strawberry.
Actually I had my eyes done twice.
The most popular way that they do in Japan is not to have eye lid cut. They just flip your eye lid and give you 2 stiches each on your lids to give you a doubled lids. I liked my first look, but I got usued to it and wanted to have wider ones. It took about a week for the swelling to go down for me.

To Another azn girl
Thanks for your comments. I am happy with the way i look only when i have my eyeliner on. Without it, I don't feel comfortable in public. I wish that i could just go natural without eyeliner and feel good about the way i look. Thanks for your support on my eyelid surgery though.
To Curious Guy
It doesn't cost more for men to do plastic surgery. I don't know it for a fact but i'm very sure. Did you know that Jackie Chan had his eyes done too? He did it in the beginning of his film career.
Like i said before i will be getting my consultation and surgery in July. I will for sure post and let everyone know how it goes.

I support reconstructive surgery but definitely NOT cosmetic surgery. How tragic that so many people feel the need to have cosmetic surgery. It's the self-hating, "white is right" complex.

Strawberry:
I think your eyes are very adorable just the way they are. As a matter of fact, your single lid eyes are actually more attractive than most single lid eyes. I've seen some AF who had the double lid eye surgery, and it looks really unnatural on them. You sound pretty confident that the eye surgery will enhance your appearance...just remember to examine the cons and pros carefully before you do the surgery...b/c there's no turning back once it's done.

curious,
They are just weird in Japan. The latest cosmetic surgery crazy in Japan is the concave naval. Women are just not cute if their belly button are sticking out too much.

strawberry,
personally i think you're a very cute girl. you dont need anything done. also, i've seen someone who i am positive had eyes done but taht's cuz it looked really obvious. anyhow, i think you're really cute as you are. But it's your decision and i wish you the best.
SOG,
thanks for sharing. i was born with relatively large double lid eyes but as i get older they are drooping more and more. it's starting to look like i'm tired or sleepy all the time. I've heard about muscle exercises before but never anything detailed. Your advice is priceless. I checked out hte website and will do the exercises u described. thanks!!! !!!

Hi Nao
Do you have any before and after pictures that I can see? If not, how long did the swelling last for your eyes before you were able to go out in public. Also, were you happy with your new eyes? Do you think one week after i get my eyes done i can go out in public or do i have to wait longer?
Thanks

Does it cost more for men to get eye and nose surgery? Or is it the same price?
I have an acquitance who had his eyes done. One day after his vacation leave, he came back with double lids. It looks good and I want to know more about it. I've asked him but he denies it.

Nao, why do so many girls in Japan have cosmetic surgery, do they get a double lid? Make their nose smaller?
