You must be smoking crack.

I hang with alot of asian girls in the 408 area and the way they talk you think they are arrogant materialistic snobs.

For example, One asian girl told me that guys making six figures were not good enough for her. Another Asian girl said she never have to worry about getting merry in San Jose regardless of age because she said the ratio of guys to girls are like 8 to 1. Another girls said she would not consider a guy unless he has a house in San Jose. (like $500,000 plus for a house in San Jose who does she really want the guy or his house) And you know these girls are pretty blunt about it too, so quit blowing smoke up everybody face.

I hang out at the Ranch 99 shops and SF Chinatown area alot and the Asian girls in the 415 area are way better.

I'm going to let the cat out of the bag for you other fine Asian girls, the average Asian guy in 408 area make 6 figures easily and still have a hard time finding someone because the ratio guys to girls is so lopsided.

If you are an Asian girl and want an Asian guy that wear Versace cloths, drive a luxury car, and has a professional job that make six figure come to San Jose. Those kind of guys are a dime a dozen in San Jose even in this high tech layoff.

There are pretty girls , Asian , White , all kinds. Good eats and lots of things to do. SF is a small city , area wise so you see yellow people everywhere. Especially busty tall Asian chicks that like to party.

S F is the best city ever. I've been around to other cities but SF has the asians and the view. Food, shopping and the people are great but RENT is crazy! If the prices of houses were a little lower things would be perfect!

I have been to several different cities in the United States (N.Y., Chicago, L.A., Boston, Dallas, Miami, Washington DC) and what I like best about San Francisco is that it's the MOST ROMANTIC place to chill out in!!

You can be either with your significant other, girlfriend, mistress, ho, partner, escort, massage girl, etc.. And find very romantic restaurants, scenic views, and other places to walk, talk and have a good time!!
There is NO (And I mean NONE!) other city that comes close to this flavor, and setting that San Francisco has to offer. Dig it!!

Haha... it seems like a lot of you are confusing San Francisco with the Bay Area. See, the truth of the matter is, the rest of the Bay Area population hates SF too. They are stuck up arrogant snobs, and the city totally sucks. You see, SF is only about 10% of the Bay's population. San Jose is a lot bigger, and there are plenty of other Asian centers around the Bay. By only using a small area to judge the entire area is totally unfair. What if I just visited Compton, and used that as my impression of LA? Or if I went to Bed Stuy, and had the image in my mind that the rest of the New York is like that?

As far as restaurants go, for those people who claim LA restaurants are better, well, you must be referring to those in those "Ranch 99" style malls. Well, we have lots of those all around the Bay too, just not in SF. In fact, 408 and southern 510 look very much like LA.

And to the guy who mentioned about food being catered to recent immigrants... well isn't that what it's supposed to be like? WTF? Fourth generation? You are practically a white boy, my friend. Go eat your egg foo yung and chop suey.

Remember, there are three types of Chinese: recent immigrants, first gens (who's parents came over after the Kennedy act), and the ones who have been here for generations (most likely came over in the gold mine since no Chinese were allowed to come after the exclusion acts). I am in the second category. My parents weren't born here, so my Cantonese is good, and my English is fluent as well, since I'm ABC. I get along well with recent immigrants, but I hate the people who have been here for generations. If I really wanted to kick it with a white girl, I'd get with the real thing, which actually isn't such a bad idea. =)

I've lived in 4 different continents and 4 different states East and West Coast and even Midwest. San Francisco is my favorite city to live in so far.

Hey folks,

Listen, if you don't like SF, perhaps you should state why rather than bashing it unreasonable. I notice that most of you bashing it live outside of SF and you tend to defend your hometowns. I will do the same. I was born, raised and still live in SF. All my best friends live in SF (with the exception of one who lives in Boston). All my best "moments" in life have occured in SF.

And never minding myself, SF offers what many cities with a heavy asian population often can't: a chance to make a difference. Asian supervisors, pleny of Asian support for issues. How many cities can boast the number of Asian American high school athletes? SF's Education system might suck but at least Asian aren't the little model minority they are in most cities. The asian kids may be FOB's, star athletes, or something else. But the diversity of Asian's out here is the best reason to be here.

So if you like to be where you are, good for you. I like SF just as much you like your own hometown. But give the virtues of your hometown rather than bashing it...for if I visit your hometown one day, I would like to see the best rather than look for the worst.

New York WAS my pick for the best city but with the recent plane attack there, I don't think I would like to live in a city that is always a constant TARGET for CRAZY PEOPLE...therefore, SF is the next best on my list. The west coast is MUCH safer to be at!!
