No, I think it is YOU who doesn't get it. I mentioned on countless occasion, RANDOM PLACEMENT! Okay, I'll use your point of neighborhoods which are predominantly Asian, since there is no such thing as equal dispersement in every city. Just to make things easy, we'll say that there are cities with 100% Asians, and others with 100% white, black, Mex, etc. By the Bay having a higher percentage of Asians as a whole, that means that means there are MORE ASIAN NEIGHBORHOODS here than anywhere else!

And what does that mean? If you were randomly placed in any area, you will have a better chance to be placed in an Asian area since there are more. Say you are driving around the Bay. In one hour, say you pass by 3 Chinese neighborhoods, 2 black, and 3 white, and 2 Mex (just to add up to ten). Since other cities have a lower percentage of Asians, maybe you will hit 2 Chinese neighborhoods, 2 black, and 3 white, and 3 Mex (also adding up to ten). Passing through more Chinese neighborhoods equates to seeing more Chinese.

There, I said it. There are more predominantly Asian neighborhoods in the Bay. Not every city has 25% Asians.

Eric (Toi San Jai),

Of course I would see 100% Asians if I kicked it in any Asian neighborhood. I could be in some Asian district of Wausau Wisconsin, and think that the town is all Asians because that's all I see.

Like I said, I'm talking about random placement - any given time, any given neighborhood. And again... you still use SAN FRANCISCO as your basis of comparison. Union City is almost 50% Asian. Milpitas is almost 60%

Based on your statements, do they imply that the Bay Area has less non-Asian people to counter balance the strong presence of Asians? Ex.The fact that you also said if one sees 100 people in the Bay, 25 will be Asians. Better yet, despite the Bay Area having less Asians in terms of numbers than let's say LA or NYC, Asians are more apparent in the Bay, is it because The asians in that area are more concentrated and exceed the population on non asians?

From this point on, you still have not admit that the Bay area is predominantly Asian and less non-Asian, which suggest the Bay Area is really one big Asian town or close to being one! You talk about all these neighboring areas of SF having 50% or more Asians, failing to realize what you have said advocates the fact that seeing more Asians in any given time indeed occurs in Asian neighborhoods or where Asian populations equal or exceed non-Asian populations.

You've given all these numbers to prove your point in which I agree, but you haven't explain what causes the huge sighting of Asians in the Bay than anywhere else on the mainland US. I said higher percentages of Asian sightings occur in places like Chinatowns, this concept explains why the Bay has more Asians sighted, but somehow you want to avoid this topic in our discussion.

Remember, San Francisco only has a population of a little over 700,000. The entire Bay Area (including SF) has about 6,000,000. There are a waaaaay more Asians outside of SF than in.

Nah, I got nothing against Fukienese. I don't even know any. I was just trying to be funny. I shouldn't even talk. Toi San people aren't all that either. Although, we were the first Chinese to arrive in America, so all others after us should bow down. hehe

Like I said, I'm talking about random placement - any given time, any given neighborhood. The 48 I got was based on your 16% Asian stat on Goldsea. Of course I would see 100% Asians if I kicked it in any Asian neighborhood. I could be in some Asian district of Wausau Wisconsin, and think that the town is all Asians because that's all I see.

And again... you still use SAN FRANCISCO as your basis of comparison. Union City is almost 50% Asian. Milpitas is almost 60%. I never disputed that NYC and LA has more in sheer numbers. I just said percentage wise, it has less. Facts need to be gathered? It doesn't get more factual than the US Census. Maybe you should look it up.

Say Shaq shoots 50% free throws. In one game he shoots 20, and makes 10. That's 10 points on free throws alone. Say Jason Richardson shoots 80% free throws. He only shoots 10, and makes 8. Shaq scores 10 on free throws alone, J Rich, 8. Does that make Shaq the better free thrower? Based on your logic, he is.
