"Your intial statment stating that the Bay Area doesn't have the sheer numbers of Asians like that of LA or NY is again FLAWED.."
You must be one of those guys who picks on peoples' grammar and pronunciation and everything, huh? Well, your spelling isn't all that either, my friend. Anyways, how is telling me that NYC has less numbers helping your cause? You were the one who told me that there are tons of Asian neighborhoods in NYC. I believe LA has more Asians than the Bay because it is twice as big. Unless they have half the percentage, there will be more in number.
"You never been to NY and you automatically assume its Asian percentages is pale in comparision to the Bay????"
HUH?!?! You just proved to me yourself that there are more Asians in the Bay than in NYC. So, how much deeper would you like your grave? How does your foot taste? If NYC has 16 million people, and the Bay only 5 million (Don't get all over me for these numbers. I'm just rounding.) 1 mill out of 5 is... what?! 20%! Isn't that what TH Lien said in the first place?! 600,000+ out of 16 mill?! Now, you tell me where you are more likely to run into Asians.
BTW, there are a lot more than just those four counties. There is also Contra Costa, Marin, Sonoma, and Solano.
Hey, props to you though, bro. You are doing your research. I'm just some fool online talking smack. I'm really interested in this kind of thing too. More importantly, how people ended up where they are, and why...

This what you said in several previous posts..
Other than Hawaii, the Bay has the highest percentage of Asians in the nation.Yes, more than NYC, more than LA (not sheer numbers, mind you).
This what you said recently...
And again... you still use SAN FRANCISCO as your basis of comparison.
Bay Area County/City |
Asian Population |
Santa Clara | 343,387 |
San Francisco | 259,195 |
Alameda | 257,173 |
San Mateo | 144,049 |
Total | 1,003,804 |
County |
Asian Population |
New York | 151,725 |
Queens | 317,893 |
Kings or Brooklyn | 145,112 |
Total | 614,730 |
First of all, we need to obtain all the solid facts before we could discuss the topic in a consistent manner.
Otherwise, all of these posts are random and incoherent...Second, after I consulted the Goldsea Demographics page regarding the Asian populations in the US, the ENTIRE BAY AREA's ASIAN POPULATION far exceeds that of New York. It might even EQUAL or SURPASS the Asian population of LA. Your intial statment stating that the Bay Area doesn't have the sheer numbers of Asians like that of LA or NY is again FLAWED..
Recently I contacted an Asian organization in New York City that does research on Asian Demographics for the entire nation. Hopefully, they will provide some clearer facts on Asian percentages and comparisons between the Bay Area and NY. I'm not trying to be a nuisance to you but the fact that you are so random with your posts, I want to get everything clarified. Moreover, you've never been out of the Bay Area or maybe Cali for that matter, it's time for you to venture out and see the world...You never been to NY and you automatically assume its Asian percentages is pale in comparision to the Bay????
