Dear Vietnamese descendants:
Be proud of who you are and what you have to offer. Be unique in a way where people will stop and think, " Wow he or she isn't like the rest of those gooks." I am not trying to say you should not act Vietnamesey but stand out and be proud of your own race. Who cares we have different perceptions about how Vietnames girls or guys supposed to act. The purpose of this topic is to enlightened our culture and never forget where we have came from and who has brought us here.

Whoa, way too much dissing of our own people. I wish people would stop generalizing. I've known a lot of great viet girls but either I'm not attracted to them or they are taken. Why are all the nice looking viet girls who are also great people taken? I'm sure there's more abundance where the concentration of people is high like Cali and Texas.
And Viet dude, what do you mean that "Viet guys aren't considered very-good looking"? From what I've seen Viet guys look the best. I've had many women from all kinds of different races tell me that I'm very good looking. Have more pride in your people.

Ok, so I haven't had much luck with Viet girls. Few reasons are already described: materialistics, demanding, and pretentious. Other non-Viet girls just seemed better to be with, but hey, I know that there are great Viet girls out there. They just happen to be taken though :(
And for the Viet girls in here, yeah, there are a few chauvenistic and insensitive Viet guys out there, but hey, you just have to look a bit harder. Several of my Viet guy friends are doing just about anything for the woman they love. So, let's stop the stereotypes, there are always incompatible people around you, but hey, you only need one right one.

I thought you said not to generalise..so "viet guys suck" is not a generalisation. Sorry to hear that your past relationships haven't turn out like sweet smelling roses but thats life. Everybody is an individual, and it's unfortunate that you attrack shit to your shoes more often than once...then again, you know what they say, if you smell like shit you attract shit!

I've heard that Vietnamese girls can be rather materialistic and that Vietnamese guys are arrogant, chauvenistic, and insensitive.
I've seen some of this from experience/observations of Vietnamese people I've seen/know. Vietnamese can also be very "clannish". However, I am very impressed with the number of Vietnamese guy and Vietnamese girl relationships there are.

THE HELL!!!! alright, hehehe *sigh*. I've received an e-mail saying that I'm a sell-out to Vietnamese because "Obviously, I don't know much about vietnamese people." I'd like to reply that I love our culture and understand the many philosophical aspects behind it, but OK... I seriously don't get how you got that since all I did was defend Vietnamese (against ourselves actually). We don't like it when we're boxed in categories and stereotypes, and yet we do it to our own race? "Viet guys are bossy and macho"? "Viet girls are gold diggers"? What are we thinking? There's good and bad everywhere isn't there? I'd like to think that we don't have more bad than good. I admit some guys are pushy (stop that you idiots)and some girls are...materialistic, BUT THATS NOT EVERYONE!
One other thing, Viet guys aren't considered very good-looking...you got our backs girls? Most people think I'm Japanese at first, but when they find out, they say it's cuz "you're cute, unlike Vietnamese guys" AHEM!!!

Its O.K you can say it with me....anyways, enough of that bollocks..you have to realise that not all people are the same, if they were then this earth that we live on would be pretty damm boring...My point is that when you girls find yaself that one decent guy, you find it hard to adjust mentally to somebody that can be so caring and loving towards you...thus your heart says "stay with him" while your brain says "find me a bad boy", am I right? I love viet women the best. They are sexy, sweet, and can dance. Of course, not everybody is the same. Some are too materialistic and gossipy. But if you can find a beautiful and sweet viet girl, you're set. It's just too bad that all the good viet girls I know are already taken. Maybe I'll be more lucky when I move to a bigger city.

All they care about is how they look like (socially), what labels they are sporting, how much jewelry they are wearing, what kind of car your riding in, and how much money your making? "What, your not in the 6-figure club?" The funny thing is, most of them don't even look like they are worth your $2 on! If you're demanding to be treated like "the bomb", at least look like it! all you viet girls ever want is a step up in the social ladder and a money making man. guy's, this is what you'll have to deal with when married to a viet woman, their family are greedy like hell and would even have the shirt off your back!
In this day an age you'll be hard press to find yourself a decent girl with a decent family, if your one of the lucky one...fair play...if not try the white girls, they tend to be an easy lay...and the added bonus...be shit in bed and your guaranteed a divorce (only use if u ever need to make a sharp exit!).
