I'm afraid that I prefer white women over Asian American women, at least here in America. Is that a crime? If I were to date an Asian woman, I would rather date an Asian woman from Asia. Not the clueless refugee type who needs a Green card, but a cosmopolitan, well-travelled types that live in cities like Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Btw, I am an ABK (american Born Korean).

My only problem with my precious Asian
women that I love so much, is when then
go overboard with westernizing(whiten)
themselves. It's o.k. to be comtemporary
and somewhat materialistic but do you
have to become "white" to feel that

Guy with bad asian female experiences,

Take it easy before you start dissing all the asian women here, there are asian women who are nice and there are asian women who are stuck up. You're only 17 wait atleast until you get to college to get a girl. I'm a 19 year old Filipino and i'm really attracted to this Cambodian girl. I came from an all boys school back in the Phils. so at least you know how nervous I am when it comes to asking american females out but when I started to talk to this girl I don't really know how to explain it but I was very comfortable with her. So my advice is take some time off on your love life, Graduate from highschool and then go get yourself a girl/asian girl.

Being a "sell-out" is not about not wanting to date a particular person, whatever race he/she happens to be at the present life-time. It's about not wanting to date/marry/hang-out with AN ENTIRE RACE OF PEOPLE BASED UPON PRECONCEIVED NOTIONS DRAWN FROM A FEW EXAMPLES! Can you even comprehend how many Asians there are populating the Earth as of this very minute? It's a mind-boggling number, something in the ball park of four billion people.

But wait, there's more. You are a sell-out if you prefer to be around those who aren't of your race because you are ashamed of your race. If you feel superior when you're around people of your race doing things that are customary to that race, then you're a sell-out. In this, I mean that when you go to an Asian restaurant, if you're too ashamed to use chopsticks, then you are a sell-out. If you're too ashamed to barter with the Asian woman selling vegetables using your mother tongue, then you're a sell-out. If your idea of beauty requires for you to change yourself to look less like your race and more like another race, then you're a sell-out. I can continue on, but...you get the idea.

Garsh.. it sucks to hear that some Asian girls are super materialistic, stuck-up "gold-diggers". I've never really been that way. In fact... I'm kind of the opposite. I'd rather be the bread winner, and the bringer of gifts -- usually that is the case.

It annoys me to hear that there are Asian chicks out there that act so needy and want their men have to provide shit for them. I can totally imagine how they are. I think the reason some Asian girls end up that way is because their values are a bit misplaced growing up. Confidence is a big issue with Asians.. as I've had my troubles with it too. I can see how having "great" material things can give them a false sense of worth... and it only gets them by for a while, so they constantly need MORE and MORE.

I hate to point the blame at parents... but I think for the most part, confidence and self-worth are instilled primarily by them. Yet unfortunately, most Asian parents are ignorant to the fact that emotional nurturing and encouragement are crucial to raising a well-balanced child. Spoiling your kid with lots of toys and nice clothes does not make them a better person. So.. anyway.. my point is that the reason why I think many Asian girls are materialistic or needy is because of their lack of values in the things that count.. which include, a good personality, thoughtfulness, confidence, and the ability to be independent/self-sufficient.

To AF Playa Hater and others who think this guys is ROTTEN:

Listen, I never said that I was a good guy to women. I simply stated a different view of what an Asian man can be like. You're absolutely right, I have been rotten in the past. Doesnt mean I am today however. Remember i'm the 'deep down nice guy". In the past theres' been many occasions where i dated many different girls at once. I've made women cry, broken their hearts, etc. Just like many other guys whether black, white or asian. Incidentally, I've had a few guy (Asian) friends who had been like that as well.

I simply wanted to depict another facet of the asian male..not necessarily better. One who is not so full of self-pity and who doesnt fit into that stereotype many of our female counterparts seem to confine us to (just check out some of their postings). That's it. Not here to brag, or praise or offend anyone. Simply offering another side of Asian males.

Actually I'm a pretty nice guy now. Really.
