Private beaches, iconic views, and unique cuisine fuel Vietnam’s tourism boom
If you really want to soak in the culture’s magic, try planning your vacation around Tết, the country’s most exciting time of the year where Vietnamese culture really comes to life. During late January to the beginning of February, the New Year is celebrated and the festivities last for one week or sometimes longer.
This year’s Tết celebrations in Vietnam had a record-breaking number of 12.5 million tourists who came to participate in the fun and take part in Vietnamese traditions. Picture the streets of Hanoi covered with golden kumquat trees and stunning peach blossoms, paper lanterns lighting up the atmosphere, everyone dressed in vibrant colored ao dais (traditional Vietnamese dress) and you can’t forget about the giant dancing dragons prancing throughout the city.
Vietnam’s influence goes beyond tourism and being a hot travel destination as it has also impacted trends, leaving its mark in the United States. The cultural impact has even made its way into our morning coffee, stirring up the way we enjoy our daily brew.

Café in Da Nang
Americans have been absolutely loving Vietnamese coffee and its bold flavors such as egg and coconut that have become staples inside cafés in the U.S. Even Starbucks couldn’t resist adding Vietnamese coffee to their secret menu, which wasn’t really a secret anymore after the recipe went viral on TikTok.
When you make it out to Vietnam, it will be impossible to forget about the famous coffee. All of my coffee enthusiasts out there, listen up. The city of Da Nang has a strong coffee game and there’s cafes on every block. You might be craving an essential cà phê sữa đá (iced coffee) or want to discover a new Vietnamese flavor, whatever your go to is, you will have no trouble finding a stylish place to sip your favorite drink.
What does Vietnam not have? With the booming tourism, rich cultural influence, and thriving cities, I am not shocked to see travelers placing this at the top of their must-visit list in 2025. Vietnam has all the adventure, the aesthetics, and all the flavor. So when you’re thinking about which stamp to add to your passport next, just remember Vietnam has called and she’s waiting for you to book that trip!
