Anthony Youn Is America’s Holistic Plastic Surgeon

The Michigan-based Asian American plastic surgeon has built a massive online following, educating millions around the world about cosmetic procedures and the science behind beauty.

In this age of social media, Asian creators have carved a space for themselves online, sharing conversations and knowledge around everything from beauty and business to health and wellness. Among them is Dr. Anthony Youn who has become one of the most recognizable and influential Asian American voices on the internet. 

Born and raised in a small town in Michigan, Youn always felt like the awkward kid in school who was completely different than everyone else. He has often shared stories about his own low self esteem and feeling invisible around the other students, which is what led him to have surgery on his jaw after high school. 

After his very first procedure, Youn felt like he had the power to control exactly how he looks and feels about himself and from there, he knew that he wanted to help others as well. Youn earned his medical degree at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, then later completed his plastic surgery residency in state before pursuing an advanced aesthetic fellowship in Beverly Hills, California. 

Following his residency and fellowship, Dr. Youn established his own private practice in Michigan called Youn Plastic Surgery and he is one of the busiest plastic surgeons in the country. Beyond his clinic, Youn is also known for his online presence as “America’s Holistic Plastic Surgeon”.

He has gained a huge fanbase with more than 14 million followers across all platforms, making him one of the most followed plastic surgeons worldwide. Youn has gone viral for debunking misinformation about cosmetic treatments, reacting to popular beauty trends, and sharing science-backed skincare advice. Aside from social media, Youn has written several books giving insights on anti-aging science and medicine. 

His expertise has also been recognized by major TV programs and news outlets, helping bring accurate, educational conversations about cosmetic surgery to a wider audience. Dr. Anthony Youn’s success began with a personal journey with his own self-confidence and eventually turned that into a career where he can inspire millions around the world to feel comfortable in their own skin.
