Damn! That is a little weird, how you have alot of the same stats as I do. I kinda wish I was around all that Hollywood stuff like you were. I think I may get more film/tv auditions if I were. Up here in Portland, most of the stuff I do are commercials, and industrial videos. The last time I had an audition for a full on Hollywood flick was for "The New Guy". The part was for one of the main character's (DJ Qualls) best friends. Needless to say, I lost the part to some other asian dude. Oh, well at least it gave another asian male actor some exposure right?

When I was in high school drama class I was also the only asian there too. How do I feel being an asian actor? I can go on forever about, but here's a few footnotes. I'd have to say the question I get most when I tell someone I'm an actor, and do martial arts is "Do you want to be the next Jackie Chan"? Hell, even at my high school grad party, I got the "The Next Jackie Chan" award. I've played asian and non asian roles. Sometimes I've even gotten parts that were originally meant for a caucasian. You have to remember that directors are the most fickle people in the world. They always either think they know what they want, only to change thier minds when they see something that stops them in their tracks. It is one of my life's goals to prove to the mainstream public that asian males can be handsome, and play more than villians, nerds, gunmen, or fighters. We're getting better protrayals, but we've still got a ways to go.Keep me updated on your gigs. I'm considering moving to LA in the future. Maybe you can reccomend some agents for me.

Its funny you ask about getting white women, because I grew up around mostly whites, so I found white girls much easier to get then asian, or any other girls. Then I got to college where there are tons of women from foreign countries. Now, I've dated girls from all over, including countires like Israel, Russia, and Turkey. Just be a gentleman, be polite, charismatic, dress well, and believe me women will take notice. And if its a white girl you want, then approach some. No guts, no glory right? Also, compliment her on little not so obvious details. Tell her that her earings go nice with her top, or how you think she's very intelligent. Women love it when people think they're smart, because they're more used to being complimented on their physical features.

Jason Park, good luck with the acting. Don't underestimate your looks, I'm sure you're very cute. Why do you feel that you'd have no chance with white females?? Look at all the recent posts by WF's: "Asian guys are HOT!" "Asian guys are niccccce". It certainly sounds like there are plenty of WFs besides me that find AMs attractive!

Max, most of my close friends are caucasian, but at work I have more black, hispanic friends (not many Asians in my department), and most of my b/f's close friends are Asian. I can't think of any negativity that was either directly or indirectly expressed to me about my relationship from any of them. I like to think that I'm pretty good at picking up on non-verbal cues. Who knows, maybe people at work talk behind my back, but I couldn't care less, and they would never say it to my face. My b/f and I travel pretty often and I love to bring in photos to share, and noone ever seems surprised that my boyfriend is Asian, or comments on it. Sometimes female friends will say "He's cute!" and I say "I know". :) My close friends never even mentioned it (the fact that I was dating an Asian man), they were just happy that I found a great guy.

Question, i have found for a AF to be hot she has to be extremely good looking..tall and slim and sexy..not many AF are like that. So what im saying is the ratio of goodlooking AF is smaller than say WF..

Even the average looking WF can be hot as for the average AF is just 'average'

Work hard to achieve a bangin' body. That will get you attention from many women. I'm 5'8" and 165, I work very hard to stay in top shape. Man, I envy you... you're 5'11"! If you fill that out to about 170, you would look appealing to any race women, I'm sure.

It's kind of funny, but I have about the EXACT same physical features as you. I'm 5'11, have a 10.5-11 size shoe, waist size of 32, i weigh 155 pounds, and yea...I just thought that was kind of interesting. i also am an actor, but unlike you, I am still enrolled in High School. I live in the southern California area near all of Hollywood and stuff, and I already have an agent, which I have worked hard to get for about 2 years. What I wanted to ask you was how you feel as being an Asian male actor in Hollywood. I'm a Korean male with decent looks, and I noticed how LITTLE Asian male actors there are out there. I'm currently enrolled in a drama class at high school and MAN! I'm the only Asian in there. I usually hang out iwth Asians but have friends of all sorts. Also, I was wondering how hard it was to get a white female. There are lots of fine white females but I feel that I have no chance with them. Anyway, I would appreciate the comments of anyone. Everyone Here,

I was just curious. Have any of you been friends with asian, or caucasian people whom you always got along with really well, and then when they find out your significant other is asian/white, or you started to date and asian, or white person, and then all of a sudden they treated you differently? If they did treat you differently, was it in a positive, or negative way?

I apologize if this question sounds a bit wordy, or confusing. I just want to get perspectives from both sides, thats all.

I'm a 5'10" JM. I dated this really pretty WF who was around 6'. I found that tall girls are actually quite self-conscious about being tall. Not to mentions alot of guys are too scared to date a tall chick. So alot of these tall pretty girls are starving for dates.
