but some singers are fine (ai van, nhu quynh, diem lien).

hm..i've been to vietfun and i find nhu quynh and a girl from dalat or something really pretty. but honestly i've seen viet girls a lot more attractive than those singers.
viets do have light skin, vietnamese in vietnam have lighter skin than viets in America.(well i've only been to the north and central areas)

Chinese girls in China...in my opinion is more like a combination of Chinatown and Univerity Chinese girls.
Alot of them don't wear make up there. But they are usually in pretty good shape. and their faces treat them well enough.
So..my conclusion is that comparing Chinese girls in China, Chinatown, and on Campuses. Chinese girls in China look better.
Chinatown girls...I want to laugh at this one because most of them only look good from far away. Dude.. That's like cheating!

Well...living in a college town in the mid-west, I see a lot of international/Chinese girls. Most of them look like they are of more class than Chinatown Chinese girls. They are less stylish though. They also seem like they care less about things like hair and physique. I feel so advantaged here in Indiana because I'm in good shape and I'm an over all pretty girl:) But when I went to the big cities...I was like.. DUde! There's so many other physically fit girls !! But then I see their faces I'm like...Ouch!
Their faces are not as fit as their bodies.
So...in general...Chinese/Asian girls here in Indiana have better looking faces...which if they want to..they can make pretty. But they generally lack style because they have other priorities. Big city Chinese girls...are more stylish..more physically fit..but they are not as pretty in the face as what we have here.

I was never aware that people thought of Vietnamese women as low and unattractive as you said in your post. To me...as far as looks go...they look exactly the same as Southern Chinese. It's not like people's facial features suddenly change a few miles over the borderline.

About Chinese girls...truthfully the most beautiful Chinese girls are in China...not in China town.
I've been to several Chinatowns... sometimes I get envious too of other girls when I see them from the back. That envy soon ends when I can see their face close up. (a lot of them have pretty hair and slender bodies...but their faces... I don't know...) So... China town Chinese girls don't represent how Chinese girl look in general. Chinatown Chinese girls are often from southern China. Cantonese women look Vietnamese to me.
However...I have conclude that girls in Toronto Chinatown in general look better than New York and Chicago China town girls.
Northern Chinese look a lot different from Southern Chinese. I'm from Beijing...so I'm a Mid-Northern Chinese. I know that the girls I see around Chinatown don't look like me man!

You said that you don't even see alot of vietnamese people, and that you've only heard of how we look like, so you don't know what you're talking about. At least I describing the feature of chinese people is because I do see alot of chinese people, lol.

Hello? is that all that you could say about vietnamese girl "they have the biggest nose?" can you think of anything else or are you stuck?. and also, I saw the miss Hong Kong video a couple of time, and the women in their does not look beautiful, most of them are more unattractive than vietnamese singer.
I don't know why chinese women are really into being skinny nowadays, I saw the miss Hong Kong, and almost all of them are underweight, their was one lady who was 5'7" and she weighs 95 pounds, she look totally pathetic, most of everyone is weigh under 100 pounds. I don't personally find being super super skinny attractive, she walks around as if the wind could blow her away or something. There are alot of people who doesn't know or see of the the asian people, they say that Korean, Jap, or Chinese girls are so beautiful, this is because they saw them on T.V. of course you don't hardly see those girls in real life, so they don't know what the heck they're talking about.
The sad thing is that our Vietnamese culture doesn't go on T.V. or have any T.V show because we are less popular. and for those who say that most of the people in China or some part of China looks like Zang Ziyi, I don't think so, I too watch chinese movies and I don't even see alot of "Zang Ziyi" look alike on there. I just trust my own vision, I go to china town, and chinese supermarket, and Rosemead and other town where alot of chinese people live, I know how Chinese American poeple look like, I only thing is that Chinese women are lighter skin than vietnamese , though that is the only advantage that I could think of.

I never thought that Vietnamese people are low and unattractive. I thought, Vietnamese, like any other peoples have both ugly and beautiful people. It's good that you try to defend your ethnicity, but the way you insult and stereotype Chinese people's looks is just very off-putting and doesn't at all make things you say convincing. The impression that you give is that you are just insecure and biased against Chinese.
When I said that Chinese women are on average more like Zhang Ziyi than like Lucy Liu, I didn't mean that all Chinese women are as pretty as Zhang Ziyi, only that more Chinese women have her type of features than Lucy Liu's type of features. Also, I'm talking about Chinese women in general -- which includes those in China. China is an enormous country, and most of the Chinese in the U.S. or California are from one small region, mainly Guangdong in the deep south and the surrounding areas. Cantonese people and other Southern Chinese do not represent Chinese people in general.
By the way, in my opinion I don't even think Zhang Ziyi is remarkly good-looking. She's pretty, but nothing out of the common way for Chinese women. I've seen far better-looking Chinese people.
If I have to think of only my personal experiences and uninformed sense-impressions, as you do, then this is what is see: Vietnamese women don't have such perfect looks and I haven't noticed that Vietnamese women are on average better-looking than Chinese women, even compared to just Cantonese women alone.
