WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
hi guys,
i just wanted to say that this website is excellent! not only does it include various info on beauty tips, but it provides an opportunity for all of us girls to share some of our tips as well.
i know this may sound pretty stupid, but as sad as it is, i am obsessed with the who "crease double lid" thing. as an asian girl myself, applying eye makeup was so much trickier and harder than usual. it just didn't look right when my other girl friends would be using the same eye makeup technique on their faces. so im in desperate need. if anyone could perhaps show me any tips on applying makeup to single lids i'd really appreciate. if not, then if anyone could recommend an awesome eye lift product..that wouldn't be so bad either...thanx

my sis has thick, short & straight eyelashes that she curls every day, and it looks good. She uses triple mascara by cover girl and it seems to hold curl well! Her eyes always look nice so thought I'd share that info...
My lashes are straightish but hold curl really well, longer and more sparse, so I use a curler too, and recently bought Intensifique by l'oreal in blackest black. It holds curl OK, but I wouldn't recommend it if your lashes are STICK straight. The great thing is that it is very thick but smooth, so if you run a lashcomb after using, it looks fab and silky and SUPERBLACK. So, I'd recommend it for people with very sparse lashes.

To Girl with jail bar vision:
where can you buy one of these eyelash curlers, and who makes them. I want one too!

I have impossibly long lashes that point STRAIGHT DOWN...if I don't curl them, when I look up, my lashes literally cover my vision like jail bars. Anyhow, to curl my lashes, I bought this really cool heating eyelash curler...sounds brutal, but it actually just warms the silicone strips to a warmish temperature, and it acts like a curling iron (a warm, gentle one!) to keep my eyelashes out of my vision and curled and beautiful. :) Hope that helps.

!!
I just bought some Maybelline Lash Discovery mascara on sale for $5.99 and it's great. The brush looks ridiculously small when you first pull it out of the tube, but it does everything that's on the packaging:
-lengthens,
-defines
-no clumps
and the "very black" is a nice colour.
it also does an ok job of holding the curl (I have to curl my eyelashes because they are very straight and short) but not as good as most waterproof mascaras. That would be my only improvement suggestion for this product. THIS STUFF IS GREAT!!

Bath and Body works has some great eyeshadows that have a neutral base color but have gold or silver flecks that look really awesome on the browbone or on top of a matte shadow.
my favorite is lichen, too bad it's everyone else's favorite since it's always sold out. By the way, i think hot chinese import model is a little too stuck on herself, it's good to be confident but not out right tacky, and her reference to her actually having a crease in her eye is another stupid comment since many asians do. whatever

I don't know either how to stop eyelash fallout. Maybe try to be gentler on them by rubbing a greasy remover all over the lashes to dissolve the mascara first(if it's waterproof like I usually use) and them wipe them very gently with a cotton pad just to remove the melted mascara & oil, and follow with a regular gentle formula eyemakeup remover like cetaphil or some other non waterproof eymakeup remover to remove the remnant oil residue. I think I am still losing some eyelashes, but not as much as when I try to rub off the mascara with a pad soaked in the cleanser.

Hrm...I dunno what to really say. I'm am straight up Chinese. But Funnie how i have almond eyes...But in contrast to the typical Chinese eyes, mine are big and they actually have a crease. so what i usually do it but on black eyeliner, and then put a bronzy colored eyeshadow on to keep it natural. I'm not one for using mascara because it can really look fake sometimes. So i usually just curl them. Curling ur eyelashes can do wonders and open up your eyes a ton. But if anyone can tell me a good mascara that can thicken your lashes..I'd be willing to try. I have really long eyelashes.

Hey any suggestions for an asian girl with short straight lashes that refuse to curl? I want my lashes to be longer but all the mascaras I've tried clumps up or only darkens. I used curlers, great except after several use my lashes start falling out.
Any advice please email snoopyparsons@yahoo.com
Thanks
