What's permanent eyeliner...I've never heard of it...

Sounds cool though...

Asians are usually suitable for light make up

amy-
you should try "expert eyes" eyeliner by maybelline. they are those little red pencils that come in the 2-pack. get the waterproof kind.

Hey girls...awesome website. I'm Chinese and I have a small crease, which is admired by my family back in China. I've been using black eyeliner in pencil for a long time but at the end of the day parts of it smears off. I've used liquid eye liner before but I really like the softer look of pencil. Is there a really smudge proof pencil eye liner out there? Thanks!

the tips here are great. i am a creaseless girl too tho not asian. I like to use liquid eyeliner, extended down almost to the tear duct in the inner corner on top and only three-q of the way to the inner corner on the bottom. Had permanent eyeliner put on a while ago *ouch* but bottom liner looks much better than when i did it myself^^

i use shu uemura lash curler, more expensive than maybelline but less so than the shiseido. "walking" the curler up from the base to the tips of lashes seems to help

i have loved max factor 2000 cal mascara for years but someone else on the board didn't like it. helps if you comb it out afterward

On Saturday, I splurged and bought the Shiseido eyelash curler ($16) and it is pretty good. My usual eyelash curler is made by maybelline and only costs about $5 and is pretty good, but I had to see what you guys were raving about. The shiseido model seems to do a more hard edged "bend" in the lashes. It looks weird if you leave it as done after doing it in one place, but if you follow their instructions and crimp along the lashes in a few different places, it works very well. (I was just worried that there might be sharp edges that would do some accidental trimming, since the bend seemed so crisp, but it looks like a very safe, well-crafted little gadget) I like it. It also seems to create a more lasting "curl" than my usual brand.

My maybelline one was pretty good, but I've had it for over 4 years, and it was beginning to get loose, and uneven so it was time to get it replaced.
(it's lasted very well --my first one lasted about 8 years). It's the best out of the other 3 kinds I've tried: revlon, cutex(?not sure, but it was the plastic one they were advertising a few years ago) and some no-name brand. I guess I find out if it was worth the extra money in a few years.

To creaseless girls!!!
I saw this asian girl & she I think her eye makeup wuz GREAT. She puts on black eyeliner/dark brown eyeliner... & lines the all around the eye or just the top. It's a medium size & even width from the inner to the outer corners or the eye. Blend the line outward and apply brownish/pinkish eyeshadow around the line... Dont blend eyeshadow on the eyeliner on the bottom lid if you decide to put eyeliner on the bottom lid. And blend the eyeshadow on the top lid.
Then curl your upper lashes well & apply mascara.
Oh, and blues/greens dont look good on no crease. But plums are very pretty on you!! ^.^ Plums (pink) & browns.

Oh yeah. For reference to makeup of creaseless eyes I think you should look at Sung Hi Lee. I think her makeup is very good.

So ppl... go experiment with my suggestion if you'd like! ^.^ And please tell me if it works coz I would like to know. I dont have those eyes to experiment the routine with, so let me know, ok?

sweet-ejt (hehe,sorry,couldn't resist)

hey, I think my lavendar/grey is my eyeshadow colour. It looks kind of like blue when I am wearing it. (and green/gold is also one of my favourites)I think us asians can wear any colour as long as the surrounding makeup is coordinated.

Blues and greens do not suit asian women

hey who buys the shiseido make up line? i feel like exchanging what i usually buy(maybelline and cover girl) to shiseido because i dunno , the shiseido stuff i try is really good. which type of their line do you guys recommend? because last time i used the facial moisturizer and i didn't really like it ( i like oil of olay).i only buy the blotting paper ... it's pretty good , 100 sheets per package and it leaves a nice powdery finish too .
