WHAT YOU SAY

[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
hey! I'm definitely not a little girl! I'm a little woman, 21 yrs on this planet and counting. For some reason, the older I get, the faster my metabolism gets. But yeah, when I go to clubs, they sometimes laugh at me and say what, are you like, 16 years old? Depending on my mood, I take it as a compliment or as an offense.

I love low rise levis, got a pair on right now. 518s, stretch, not too tight, of course. 518s in stretch does wonders for the small rear view. One thing positive about having my figure (I'm sure you slim sisters out there will agree) is that formal wear that looks elegant is easy to find-- the smallest sizes are left when the sales come around and full length beading looks fabulous (in my biased opinion). Beading and drapey stretch fabric looks best on slim figures I think.
For fuller figures, I think beading can look fab, too, except I think there should be more details in addition to the beading to accentuate a favorite part-- for example, a woman with great cleavage can work a beaded dress with a pattern at the bustline and a woman with a J.Lo trunk can pull off a simple black dress with a flared skirt and a wide satin sash around the waist with a bow that rests above the butt.

I think a rule they should put in the books is "minimal for straight figures, more complex for curvaceous figures..." Based on this principle, no wonder Calvin Klein looks good on waifish figures and XOXO and Guess? look good on the womanly.

I saw an Asian girl yesterday who has the Pocahontas look, and it was really really good. She has the long hair, bangs, brown suede top with low rise jeans and tassalled belt. Only her makeup was all wrong, too bright and pinky. Most AF can do the Pocahontas look but watch out for the makeup - must be neutrals.

"I say that AF's look good in low-rise, Levi's jeans. Don't take my word for it.

There aren't too many outfits that AF look bad in. It's pretty natural I think for AF in many ways. I especially like the all black outfits where you have black tops, skirts and those fine tall black boots. It's enough to make a grown man cried out loud.

There have been many poles that I have almost bumped into as a result of attractive AF, BF and WF who don't have an attitude problem.

32-22-33 what are you like 12 years old???

woa. I better watch myself. I realized that my last comment sounded anti-non-thin or something. But that's not what I meant. So.. girls with curves (like, 36/38 C or D cups) and non-washboard stomachs can get away with stuff thin people can't. For example--a white, low cut (but not obscene) ruffled blouse with flared stretch dark blue jeans. Or a ribbed turtleneck in a deep purple or some other jewel tone.
I guess my view of what's best (minimal and neutral) is biased because of my own shape-- 32A(on a really good day)-22-33. Wearing ruffles and stretch (stuff I consider nice) would totally accentuate what I don't have.

filene's basement is the bomb... in Boston the literal basement is a discount area and a good place to find all sorts of stuff... if you are willing to search, of course.

Annoying white dude: us japanese girls' fashion rules because it's COLORFUL and fun, not pretentious... although I admit that some take it too far.

Personally, I think there is something BIG to be said for neutral colors. They are classic and really flattering. Sure, all brown is boring but a fawn color is beautiful and there's nothing more simple than a white cotton tank top. For good looking/unique looking girls who are thin, there's nothing sexier than a plain white tank top and worn in jeans.

That's just my opinion. Lay it low with the clothes and makeup and hair, and you can't miss as long as you've got the goods!
