I dunno about the whole Manchurian/Cantonese thing, but I've heard that generally Cantonese are shorter. And yes, height does matter to me... i'm a tall AF (5'9") and even though it shouldn't matter, i would still definitely prefer a taller guy (6 feet and up). but, if a guy is a few inches shorter and has nice facial features, i'm cool with that. :)
of course, all of this is just physical stuff... it's all about the personality.

I don't know if good diet has anything to do with height? I do notice that black people tend to be a couple inches taller than whites in the USA. But, many blacks don't drink milk nor eat beef. They eat more fried chicken, chicken wings, pig feet, pig intestines, and fried fish. In fact, this type of diet is not that different from Chinese cuisine. Not to mention that many blacks have less to eat than whites in some parts of this country. But, why are blacks taller than everyone when they are eating parts of animals nobody wants? Would eating fried chicken increase height?
how many legs, wings and thighs?

Manchurian Princess,
I'm part Manchurian too, and I am from Heilongjiang. Obviously, this sohoh character doesn't know what they're talking about. Cantonese are better looking than Dongbei(Northeast) Chinese? Ok... not on this planet at least.
Let's look at the different features that are valued most by the majority of people in this world.
Height: No doubt about this. NE Chinese tower over the Cantonese. It's quite an obvious difference.
Build: NE Chinese men are much more muscular and larger built than the Cantonese men who are usually stick-thin, but are not obese like a lot of White American men. NE Chinese women are usually slender with nice proportional curves, while most Cantonese women are flat, and many are stubby.
Eyes: NE Chinese have much more single-eyelids than the Cantonese, who usually have bigger eyes. In Western terms, this might be a negative. But NE Chinese often have well-defined facial features like thicker eyebrows and stronger eyebrow ridges that compliment their small eyes, and look very good.
Nose: NE Chinese have much sharper and thinner noses. While many Cantonese have broad flat noses.
All over China, it's a known fact that NE Chinese are prized for their physical beauty.

"Manchurian girls are very beautiful, that is recognized by almost everybody."
That's gotta be the biggest lie ever uttered. Manchus are the ugliest people in China. They have harsh features and stocky body. Their eye bowls don't have the nice curve the Chinese have and almost look like frowning which gave them a very unpleasant look. They are the barbarians from Siberia and you just don't want to mix with thier inferior genes.

CAntonese speaking hoklo,
oo ok that is good.SO its from the west part right?okok icic
Manchurian princess...
YOu almost sound like u are trying to say that the caucasian race is beautiful... and manchurians to the chinese are like the mongolians mixed with the nomad type koreans(not the beautiful ones)
They also say manchurians are fat, dark, starey eyed(big and glarey) like indonesian people, short, and short legged. It is not recognized by everybody, at least not the chinese.
Russian , big mouth, big boned, down slant eyes and eyebrows, hairy, darker than north china beauties, big noses, eyes that sink at least an inch inwards to the skull, and so on~~~*plus, compared to beijing people, they are inferior in height***
Not that pretty eh?
But I do think manchurian can be pretty, but not because they are mixed with russian blood. I think it is because of their unique appearance different from other chinese groups.
And dont think I think manchurians are ugliest in china, there is tibet, xinziang, guangxi, yunan , qinghai, these provinces are not as beautiful as manchurians.

I'm not that tall,
Most women--even dwarfish ones (God knows why!)--prefer taller men. However, I'd say a good many would choose a cute face over sheer height.
Al Pacino was probably only about 5'5" or 5'6", but he looked absolutely gorgeous in Godfather II and III with the most excellent, chiselled features. Better than Tom Cruise. I 've also met one Indian guy, about 5'6" and 110lbs with even more refined and chiselled features.
Even if you're no Pacino or Cruise, it all depends. I've got a model-like WF friend (5'8" and slim) who married a short (5'4") AM. She didn't think he was too attractive at first since he had long hair and tattoos but they ended up falling in love and getting married.

the newest generations of beijing men may equal in average height that of british or even white americans...but i'd bet dollars to doughnuts that the average height is NOT 5'11. lets not exagerate too much.
