BebeGirl:
Hi:
I sympathize your problem with tallness!! I'm the same height as you. But I would like to be taller. I want to be about 5'6. I feel that it's the perfect height for girls...Asian girls in particular.

Hey, being 5'5" isn't something to be ashamed of! I'm 5'6", 15 years old and hoping to continue growing.
Sure, you might be a bit taller than some asian guys you see, but why let short guys determine your self esteem? There are tall asian guys out there, you know.
A couple of my friends who happen to be around 5'2" to 5'3" tell me I'm too tall, that I'll never get away with platforms (that fact isn't exactly breaking my heart, here) and no asian guy would ever go for me, coz they like shorter girls. But in the end, they're just envious (I know this for a fact, coz they tell me so) coz everyone wants to be taller (Or slimmer, or prettier or smarter or...you just name it). I envy my 5'7" friend, she envies a 5'10" friend...it's all a big circle that gets no where.
Your sister sounds like she's happy with her height, you should be happy with yours too. Afterall, height has both advantages and disadvantages and you might as well accept the good with the bad.
P.S If you can't find an asian guy tall enough for you (although I doubt that), go for guys of different ethnic backgrounds. Why restrict yourself?

To anthroplogy student (and I know you're reading this):
I'm continuing our discussion from the "WF attraction to AM" forum here, because I'm going to refute your last letter on April 14, 2002 dealing with eugenics side.
"anybody who got a brain and checked out your links will find that your "declaration foundation" -- "aryan" publication -- already discredit themselves."
Here are the links I've provided.
1) www.declaration.net
2) www.nationalreview.com
3) www.sciam.com
4) www.pop.org
5) www.christianitytoday.com
6) www.state.gov
7) www.washingtonpost.com
8) www.time.com
1 and 2 are right-wing publications. 3 is Scientific American magazine, a magazine for the science-minded like you. 4 is Population Research Institute, a non-profit organization to document human rights abuses across the world resulting from population control policies. 5 is a Christian magazine. 6 is the State Department of the United States. 7 is the Washington Post, a world-renowned newspaper. 8 is Time magazine.
These links are very diverse and credible, and most of them are not these right-wing publications you mentioned (only 1 and 2). Actually, you said "aryan", and you don't have to be white potitically conservative. There are plenty of Asian American Republicans and consertives. So none of these are aryan hate links.
"you certainly don't have to have a degree to talk with your hick buddies"
Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm Asian, though I have white friends.
"SCIENCE, however, isn't subjective. all the learning and training for a scientific "mind" has IRREFUTABLE experiemental evidence to back them up."
This is one area I agree with you, because I've provided the references to where I got all my evidence about eugenics in China. But if your saying it's not true, then where is YOUR evidence?
"i originally thought you were misguided, but now i realize you got your own agendas about china."
Because I care about human rights abuses in China, and took the time to document real cases, I'm misguided for that? You must be the misguided one for being so ignorant to suffering and injustice. Why don't you try ignorance.com, or who_cares_about_abuse_in_china.com?

Hi, I'm about 5 feet 5 inches tall, I mostly find myself too tall for asian people even in America. Whenever I go somewhere people always tell me that I'm taller than most other girls. I live in southern california. I'm vietnamese, I guess most other vietnamese are short. I feel uncomfortable being this tall because most asian guys out here are usually my height, shorter, or just a little bit tallter than I am.

To Johnny,
I am curious to see this picture, but hesitant to give out my e-mail publicly. Perhaps we could arrange something else. I would be extremely pleased to see so many tall Chinese - although I do believe that we should stop being so insecure about the subject(I myself am obviously guilty of this).

Hi, I've read some poll written by some "short woman" saying that they want to be taller and stuff. I myself am about 5 feet 5 inches, I do considered myself to be tall compare the the asian popularity even in America, I live in southern california, I find that it's hard for me to be attractive because it seems that I'm too tall for the asian guys, if I wear high heels I would be around 5'7" or more, most guys are between the height of 5'4" to 5'8", I feel like a tree among the asian people. I have always wish that I were shorter maybe around 5'2" or 5'3". Whenever I see an asian girl around that height, about 5'0 to 5'3", they seem so cute, small, and slender somehow, and I'll totally be jealous. My shortie aunts and sisters, hehehe, always tell me that I should be happy with my height and that they wish that they were taller, but it's not true. My sister finally admit to me that she would probably rather be her height, 5'2", than mine because it easier for her to be with asian guys.
