I don't think the Chinese government is that stupid ... that would be ridiculously short-sighted social engineering. In a period of instability and change like in modern China, the worst thing a society can possibly suffer is to have an excess of unmarried (and mostly unemployed men). Miracle scenario, all these guys are rich enough or handsome enough to attract lots of brides from overseas. Best case scenario, there's a boom in prostitution, which results in STD epidemics.

That brings us to the worst case scenario - sure these guys will be kicked out of the gene pool, but what are they gonna until they die? Let's see, guy with no girlfriend and no prospects for one gets fired from his job and has no prospects for that either. Same thing happens to lots of guys from his neighborhood. So next thing all these unemployed guys do is go get drunk, since that's what you do when you have no job, no girl, and no future. Large groups of unemployed guys with beer bottles in hand is a pretty good recipe for a riot.

The ideal height for guys really depends on the height of the girl that he would like to be a compliment to.

I just felt that 5'6 would be the best height for me because it would go the best with the height that I like in guys...which is about 5'10-6'0.

As for the perfect weight for a girl that's 5'6...I don't really know the exact number of pounds that I feel is the most ideal. However I do think that girls should EAT ALOT...and look healthy!! (EAT ALOT...Exercise and stay fit!!!)

I like shorter guys (5'9"-6'+ is way too tall)...never wanted a crick in the neck when talking or kissing...thank you very much.

I like taller women definitely,

Wow, you and your girlfriend are tall! Especially your girlfriend at 5'9".
I'm short, and sometimes I feel like people don't take me as seriously as they would someone who's taller. I think that since I'm small, people perceive me as somewhat "cute and helpless". I don't know...maybe it's all in my head.

Any advice on how to get rid of this height complex of mine?

Does anyone agree with me that B. Lee is simply a member of an underground sino-phobic hard-line society intent on establish an air of hysteria that focuses on lowering American public opinion of China. This is in hopes that they can bring about policies that are far less than favorable to China ,and perhaps unintentionally or not, Chinese Americans as well. Oh and B. Lee, I love how you always give us special interest websites whom have their own little goals. Well actually, just one main goal and that is primarily to decry China's integrity as a sovereign state. Whether you want reform, complete government upheaval,...I don't know, maybe you're aiming for anarchy. Please B. Lee, tell me what you are trying to ultimately accomplish in all of this.

I am quite certain that the average height for a Korean man is between 5'7 and 5'8.

Chinese height does indeed vary from north to south. The typical northern male is infact close to 6 centimeters taller than the typical southern male ("Cultural Atlas of China" published by Checkmark Books, 1998). A typical northern Chinese man is around 5'8 - 5'9, leaving his southern counterpart in the range of 5'6.

Take calcium supplement pills, do aerobic excersices, and sleep 2 hrs more each day. That should help along any more spurts you might have, if you have them.

Since height varies from night to day due to spinal compression,there is no true measure of height. I measure 5-10.5 in the morning and 5-10 at night.
So would it be cheating to take the taller measurement?

Actually 5'5" isn't that tall for an asian girl. my last ex was your height and i wouldn't mind taller/shorter girl. it's all about proportions to me in determining beauty and sexual attraction to get right down to it. a short girl with proportionately long legs, (not the stick thin scary anorexic kinds) is just as sexy as a taller girl with killer legs. heheh... hmmmm curvy leggy women...
