Did you just crawl out from under a rock?
Our current president Dubya happens to be only about 5' 9".
If you go back, you will see that all but a handful of presidents have in fact been between 5-6 and 5-11. Only in recent years have there been a few presidents over 6 foot (like Bubba, LBJ and Reagan).
As a general rule, great leaders tend to be more average height rather than tall.

Every single president in the history of the United States have been White-Anglo-Saxon Protestant, except for Kennedy (who was Catholic).
We have never had a president that was "ethnic" European: Celtic (except Kennedy), Italian, Greek, Slavic, etc. Yes, every single president have been Anglo-Saxon and Protestant. They are, as you likely know, a particular breed of European descendants with taller stature. They came from the North who took control over England after the plague dwindled the Celtic population there. They are the same people who later came to colonize the Americas. Their constant place in our presidential office is evidence of their perpetual power and control over our country.
Anglo-Saxon bloodline is why our presidents have all been relatively tall.

LOL this shows how really you're out of tune with "asian-asian" culture. soybean was grown predominantly in northern china and you know that on average northerners are taller than southerners. that soy stunts growth BS was probably perpetuated by people who had other non-soy products to sell. if you're ever in northern china, all you eat are soy for breakfast lunch dinner and then some!

I agree with you in that masculinity is associated with height and power. I think this is a universal notion though...shorter people (regardless of the race) are more concern about height than taller people. I'm not understanding how a 'quality of life' can be improved through height. Can you elaborate on this please?
I've read somewhere that the majority (if not all) of the presidents of the US are over 6'-0". I thought this was an interesting fact....it shows you the power of appearance (in this case, height). I've also read somewhere that soybean products hinder growth. It makes me wonder if this can explain why certain groups of asians are shorter than others.
