WHAT YOU SAY

Former ChungLe Student,

I just curious if it's the best martial arts school there is, then why are you a former student?

As far as "San Shou will beat TKD any day", it all depends on who's competing. Also I don't think that I would attend a school that promotes arrogance, so as you said. I do believe that sparring is important, but if your leaving with headache everday, maybe next time you should try to move out of the way, or learn to block.

Former CungLe Student,

I can understand arrogant fighters. That part of the mental make up of good fighters.

But martial arts will never be the same? Can you elaborate. He trained in San Shou did he do something to elevate the type of martial art.

I saw the discovery channel show with him in it and watch his bout.

At my peak I was a state level competitor in my sport. But even I can see that he is pretty sloppy compared to some Thailand Muey Thai and Chinese San Shou competitor.

- Drops left hand on the atttack
- High right round house is not balanced
- Leave openings at the end of right back kick

But it was also obvious from the bout that his oppenent was not of the same level. So he could afford to be sloppy.

Cung Le has talked the talk and walked the walk. He can act which ever way he wishes.

Yeah, he's kind of arrogant, but without him, martial arts will never be the same and the way it is today.

He only train champions, so if you're looking for a school that's soft go somewhere else. If you want to spar and get a headache everyday, then go to Cung Le's school.

San Shou will beat TKD any day.
San Shou is the best martial arts and most useful and efficient.

Toi San Jai,

Doesn't sound like Cung Le promotes a constructive atmosphere in his school. Most good competitve schools I've seen spent very little time cultivating egos and more on refining techniques.

I remember some nights training in TKD with the olympian and we'd be playing TKD hockey. It was a strange game with a wiffle ball, the TKD speed paddles, and a street hocky goally net. Nuture the competitive environment, conditioned the body, but did not cause too much injury as constant sparring.
