To:juno... you are an embarrasing example of an asian(if you are in fact asian).I doubt her Japanese mother feels the same way you do.People of "color" will have to learn to get cooperate if anything is to be done about this "whitewashing" of society.They do not want to see collaborations between people of color.That would be a sure sign of their loss of influence.No white person in their "right mind" will ever see you as one of "them".

Wouldn't it be nice one day if we could just check off the box "Earthling" and leave it at that.

I think it is more important to think about how and what the information is used for on those birth certificate. Besided ethnic pride, do government agencies base any of their decisions on the ethnic information gathered on the birth certificate?

Does it help? Does it hurt? Anybody know?
