It's like you are from another planet or live in some fantasy world. Marin County is about as Bay Area as you can get in terms of the mindset for the Bay Area. And enough with this, oh it's Marin County and has nothing to do with Asians -you must be a real freshly minted F.O.B. to say something foolish like that. But then again, most of the Bay Area’s Asians are comprised of recent F.O.B.'s. These are the ones who work for almost nothing and never complain as their white slave masters sit back and watch the wealth build up for themselves -especially in the tech industry. That's the Bay Areas dirty little secret but I won't get into it, just pick up a freakin' opinions section in the newspaper and read all about it.

The American Taliban and congresswoman Barbara Lee from Oakland, who did not want the U.S. to attack Afghanistan after they attacked us, are both products of the liberal Bay Area's socialization process. A bunch of whiners who complain about America when we go to war but still want to have the freedoms of our country. The Bay area is unpatriotic and nearly a communist state with all of its social welfare programs. Just wait till your kids attend public schools with bussed in ghetto kids -don't forget to thank your liberal Bay Area politicians and clueless uninformed idiots like T.H. Lien who know nothing about this.

As far as the housing oversupply in L.A. I will take that any day over the Bay areas housing shortage. The Bay area limits construction in economic hubs and then builds oversupplies of housing in far out po-dunk areas, like near Sacramento or in the East Bay or near Fresno for Silicon Valley. This leaves you with a choice: Do I buy a place in po-dunk with a 3 hour commute or buy this 2 BR 1 BR 1/2 million dollar dilapidated crack house in the heart of town? The answer, NEITHER -move to LA and live the good life in a real house with an easy commute. Any commute is better than the bay area's, just ask anyone who has lived there for some time. It is much easier to live like a king in LA with a modest salary then try to live the same lifestyle in the bay area with an enormous income. The bottom line is, no matter how much money you make in the Bay Area or Silicon Valley you will always live in a shoebox and work all hours of the night. In SF and Silicon Valley it is all income and nothing to show for unlike in LA. In LA if you are a professional, you get it all. With this said, I can tell you that I keep running into people who have dumped their piece of shit little houses or condos/ and crappy overworked lifestyles in the Bay Area and traded up to a much nicer home and better work hours/lifestyle in LA. T.H. Lien is apparently clueless. LA is the place while the Bay Area is yesterday's news.

Do your homework, you're dreaming. Have you ever heard of "PICK A CHINK DAY" at East Bay schools surrounding Oakland and parts of SF? Apparently not! These places include high schools, elementary schools, etc. at Oakland, Berkeley, and Richmond as well as SF. The malicious Black ghetto kids single out Asians kids and beat the living crap out of them for a good time while taunting them with racial slurs. Good thing Asians are taking over and kicking out the blacks, this should happen much less in the future one would think. They do this mostly to Asian immigrants who are afraid to fight back.

The blacks taunt Asian females the same way too calling them "ching chong" and making sexual remarks or groping them from behind on busses, in line, etc. You sound like you have never left the quaint little make believe streets of SF. This was recently brought up on a PBS special regarding race relations in CA. You think LA is bad, please!!! I sure as hell would never even dream of subjecting my kids to this kind of hostile environment. All is not well in the land of hippies + peace and love. The Bay Area sucks. I hate to break your little utopian notion of race relations there. This seldom happens in LA because there are hardly any places with racial supremacy like in the Baysnia Area. If you want silent Balkans, check out the seedy Bay Area. It’s overrated, overpriced, and filled with silent ethnic tensions between upper and lower income whites/asians and lower income blacks/asians. You need to get your facts straight. Live there for a year to cut through the BS that the media tries to feed you there before you rush to judgment about buying a place. Talk to kids who attend the liberal and ratty public schools there and you will see how sucky it truly is. The Bay area is a liberal social scientist’s experiment gone terribly wrong.

LA is #1 for Asians.
