Furthermore, sure, it may not prevent racism. It might even cause a backlash, but you will definitely have PLENTY OF BACKUP if some *ish* were to go down. Then they will know not to mess with you.

Besides, when there are more of a certain people, others will be used to them. They won't treat them like aliens or something

AC, it's about the same temp in SF year round. In the summer, it's still cool and foggy. It gets hot sometimes, but never muggy. If you want to see the sun, go to the waterfront cities in the East Bay. It is more hot, but the cool Bay breeze makes it perfect.

HK loved the British. Without them, HK would just be another city in China. British made them what they are. Correction: British did not RULE China. It was one of their territories, but Chinese were mostly in control. Ask any HK person who they would rather have governing the state today, England or China?

There is no such thing as "Asian American." Each Asian race is distinct, and should be kept that way.

Back from a vacation so I was on hiatus with this site.

Say, are there intermarriages between Toi Sans and Shanghainese in the Bay Area? I met only one girl in the Bay Area whose dad is Toi San and her mom is Shanghainese.

Actually I wouldn't call such marriages "intermarriages" since Chinese are marrying "OTHER" Chinese.

Btw, I am not 100% Cantonese or Toi San. My dad claim roots from the Chiu Jaus and Hakkas. My mom is 50% Toi San and 50% Sun Wui. My parents met each other in HK where marriages between the different Chinese are very common. Sun Wui is a neighboring area of Toi San which has a similar dialect. I cannot distinguish the dialectal differences between these 2 groups but fluent speakers from both areas can pick up the most subtle sounds.

On the topic of Chiu Jaus..these people are aggressive and tough. Their business dealings make Cantonese merchants look like wimps. Chiu Jaus are also domineering, uptight and hot headed as many people will tell you. I often see these negative traits in my dad. Toi Sans overall are more easy going and laid back.

India was nearly 100% Indian, yet the British treated the Indians like crap.

British ruled Hong Kong for years even though it was nearly 100% Chinese.

I am saddened by the reality that Asians in the San Francisco Bay Area are not supportive of each Asian group as a "WHOLE ASIAN". When an Asian is victimized, NO Asian Group (i,e: NAACP or ACLU) exists to aid someone who needs it.

I am saddened by the hypocrisy of each Asian group show superiority to each other (Chinese, Japanes, Indian, etc).

Hehe... to this day, my mom has NEVER talked to me about girls, birds and bees, sex, etc. No sex before marriage is so outdated anyways. That rule was created back in the old days, when people got married at 13, and lived to be about 40. Shoot, I'm mid-20's, and I'm not going to get married until at least 32, if at all.

It's a natural process. When guys and girls reach a certain age, they have the urges. If they are not taken care of (either with a partner or manually), guys will wake up in the morning with a big mess to clean up. That is not very fun.
