This is the way my original personal ad read.

"...Hello, everyone!

My name is Lydia. I live in Chicago and I have a thing for Asian guys. I find you exotic, powerful and sensual! Your sexiness and these other qualities are hidden. I've always wondered why.

I'm simply looking for a NICE, DECENT, physically attractive (at least to me) Asian guy who will treat me with respect.

A college degree is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. A guy who can simply engage me in grown-up, INTELLECUTALLY stimulating conversation on various topics is a HUGE turn-on for me! Age is not a factor (as long as you're not still in your adolescence).

Just looking for someone to go to museums, movies, maybe lectures (which I love), or something really fun that you can come up with and it's fun for both of us. Ever been in a helicopter or fallen out of a plane? Neither have I (smile? laugh?).

I'm not looking for a serious relationship right now. I just want friendship with sex. I'm being really honest. There are no strings.

----------------------------------------
Yes, I have come to terms with my bisexuality! HOWEVER! I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF THIS IS A TURN ON TO YOU OR NOT! THIS IS WHO I AM! THIS WILL NOT PLAY APART OF THE SEX!
----------------------------------------
I look forward to meeting you!

Freaks, married men, guys into kinky sex---DO NOT REPLY!

I guess I AM still the cool player, Ms. Farah! Only thing I know how to be.(smile)

Thanks, for the compliment.

I used to get the looks, but then, I think I stopped getting them cause the brothers thought I didn't speak english anyway or knew kung fu. (how silly)

I dated a chinese guy who was very reserved, so when we went strolling through Oakland's Jack London Square I, of all people, noticed that the black men were staring and I am not sure if my date was ready for it. There were no confrontations though.
I dated a filipino for almost two years but he had such a masculine presence about him that I don't remember noticing if we were stared at. He was so comfortable with our relationship that once when a BW/WM walked past us he started singing "He's got jungle fever..." He never really thought that we were and interracial couple,I guess.

"The closer the couple's complexion is to each other I think the more people(not including family) will accept the relationship.
heavenly"

Who says? A light, bright and damn near white, black female can date a white man or asian man that is the same color and she will still be seen as a black woman dating a white man or asian man and will not get accepted by people outside of her family. So, what you said is a bunch of crap.

Coolkitten,

Yeah, traveling has it's pros and cons, but lately I feel as if it's been having more of it's cons than pros. It tends to get "old". I'm pretty much at the age where I believe I want to find someone and settle down. I've been thinking about my life, and about re-establishing on a new job, where it wouldn't require me to do as much traveling. Maybe that'll give me more time to seek my nuban queen. :-) Ah, ok. So the constrction type is just with the boots. That's cool. Asian men have a suave effect whe it comes to dressing, eh? Well I'm pretty much of a sexy biatch if I do say so myself. ;-) LOL. Nah, I'm just messing with you.

Thanks for all the feedback you guys emailed me with! That was cool. I'm glad to know that you men want us to notice you just like we women want you to notice us! SO you know, life's too short, if you see anyone women, regardless of race, talk to her man! Don't just stare and daydream, make it happen! I'm glad to know you men like a little Brown Sugar in your lives! :-)

FARAH

I don't think my husband gets too many looks. We have been together for long enough that we don't act awkward with each other so we don't stand out so much. Although he is filipino everybody assumes he is mexican so maybe that is why. The closer the couple's complexion is to each other I think the more people(not including family) will accept the relationship.

This has nothing to do with AM/BW, but have any of you seen the movie Brother or any other Takeshi Kitano films? It stars Beat Takeshi, Omar Epps, Claude Maki, and Tatyana Ali in a small role that was bigger in the theatric release but the film was way edited for the American DVD/VHS release. Just wondering since someone brought up scriptwriting and movies.
