WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
This is a really cool and unique site! I am glad I found it this afternoon.I am a BW in a new relationship with an AM. We just started dating one month ago. Already we have been getting the funny looks from some people.
I can't say we have just gotten them from black people. We have also gotten plenty of them from white people, and asian people too. I love him alot though. The stares really don't bother me all that much. I guess because when we are together it feels like everything around us, and everyone
is completely blocked out. Like there is just "us" there, and noone else. I guess its pretty cool, so I don't really notice too much of how people feel about us.
There aren't many sites like this on the internet. I have looked and looked. Its really unique. There aren't many BW and AM pairings on the internet. There are some, but not as expressive as this one. Keep up the good work moderators!

I live in Kentucky. I dont see too many AM and BW couples together. Does anyone know cities where it is more common? Some say that its just not common anywhere. But I have heard from others that is is more seen in other places. I have a friend in Fairfax Virginia and she said there are more interracial couples. But she wasn't specific when it came down to it. Does anyone know?
My fiancee and I have been looking for places that have more interracial couples and families.

Just a gurl in long beach:
I know what you mean about the look. My boyfriend and I get that alot when we go to the Asian Market to buy groceries. I hate that!
I think you should be able to choose who you date. It shouldn't matter really. I can also relate to that thing you said about some people say your trying to be "white" for dating outside your race. It is just a preference of who you are attracted to, there is nothing wrong with that. I am attracted to asian men, but I dont think I am white or anything. I am just attracted to them.
Yesterday I was at my cousins house and they were talking about their men. They asked me about my man, and I started talking about him. They got real quiet, then tried to change the subject quick. They acted like I never even brought him up. Just completely changed the subject on to something else. Its like that with my aunts and my grandmother too. I dont think they will ever accept him. And thats okay with me. I dont need their blessings anyway. It really pisses me off. They will gladly talk about how they want to braid my sons hair, because they say his hair is really pretty and long. And they say they like his eyes. But my son is half of my boyfriend too. He came from him just as much as me. It took both of us to make him. I dont understand my family's way of thinking sometimes. Its kinda silly.
