Circumcision has never really been much of an issue with me. I do know that circumsion is something that most of the men in my family have undergone right after birth.
When I first met my boyfriend (hes from Burma) he had it done one year before I met him. And he was 33. He said that circumcision for male babies, was not really practiced in his country.
I have never really given much thought to it, as being a big deal or anything. I guess it could be an issue.
In your culture do most of the male babies get circumsised? I am curious.

I have a question for the women, how important is height to you? Would you think a guy 5'6" was too short even if he was well built? Like 155 lbs. but it was all muscle?

Hey there sister! That's quite a concern you have there. I have a great number of friends from Fiji, Samoa and NZ, and although to Americans, some of them are perceived to be African American, it is hard for people to understand the ties they have to us. Yes, identification with Black people is a given but the cultural aspects can get you into hot ass water with both island & black people here(US). I don't believe you should be concerned about being valued highly. If you are valued by your spouse or lover then just take time for the other parts to work themselves through. Number two, be yourself. We are not all stereotypes, although some women have perfected that very art. I love to see Fijian people here in Cali because they blend in but, then not really. I can spot them a mile away. They look like relatives of mine but I can tell they are not like me yet, that intrigues me about them. So, I would believe that others would be intrigued also. Just be yourself when you're chatting up the guys and don't worry about being this kind of stereotypical black woman. It is the genuine nature of man that attracts man.

INDIGO is an Asanti originally from Kumasi, Ghana. She can trace her African family lineage back 5 centuries and claim kin as great as Queen Mother Yaa Asantewa as here own. How do I know this? Because she happens to be my sister. You call yourself "black" without even knowing what being black truly is.

You want to debate purity? Your anscestors were probably some half breed Hausa throw-aways that were gladly traded to the English just to get your unwanted influence off of the continent. Are you a TRUE Nubian? What's your last name? Jackson? Smith? Brown? What? Did you take up some fake pusedo African name you found in a "Best Black Baby Names" book? You see, it ends badly for you if we go down that path. So I won't.

All in the Diaspora are family, regardless of how we came to be scattered across the world. The trait least natural to us, is hatred, but it is a trait that has been taught to us over many centuries, and you have obviously taken your lessons well. You are right on one count, you are no sister of hers, mine or anyone else who truly knows what it means to be proud and African. You are an embarrassment and nothing more.

I apologize to the other users of this forum, I'll allow you to get back to the business of AM/BW relations. Blatant stupidity is sometimes impossible to ignore.

To Azn Male concerning the preference of Asian Male....
I'm most attracted to Korean Men and Japanese Men ( Americanized, although I have been impressed by many Korean-born immigrants )Their cultural aspects are also easier for me to work with. At least it's been that way in the past.

Hey girl. Well, I think that your situation calls for some common sense advice. Like, you probably should not meet him for breakfast simply because you want to have time to look your best and lunch, would probably afford more time for this. Most likely having lunch will give you time enough to check this guy out in the light, over a longer amount of time ( lunchtime can be from 1 to 2-1/2 hrs long ). Waiting one day is cool but waiting too long, say three or four days, he might lose interest or even you might lose interest. So, if it's been two days and you haven't made plans, do so immediately. or keep him on the telephone every other day, til you can go out and meet again. Just my two cents. :: It's good you have that attitude with your friend's that object or think you're crazy for giving the asian guy a chance. Those are the kind of girls that make you miss out when you're just trying to experience life. I know, cause I have some.

I sincerely think you are confused about the reasoning behind this particular forum, and as a Black woman involved with an Asian man, I shouldn't have to come here and see your foolishness. You're calling light-skinned BW mutts, but you would create a light-skinned "mutt" yourself if you were truly involved in one of the relationships this forum was meant for. So, again, why do you come here, really? You are clearly very closed-minded, and would scare away any non-Black man, and probably most Black men, but certainly would scare away an Asian man.

i here ppl saying that a circumcised member is cleaner than an uncircumcised one. but being circumcised doesn't make it automatically cleaner rite?

It has not mattered to me. I honestly think that if he keeps it clean and he knows how to do his thing, every thing should be fine. Our sexual relationship hasn't suffered not one bit, despite what my friends had said about uncircumcised men.
