Think about it...how can you call a 100% Native American latino? Latin came from Europe, so latino is European.
Geeze, I give up. Most of you people are pathetic!! Hispanic and Latino are the same used to denote people of Spanish speaking countries, Islands, and Americans who have Spanish last names. It's really that simple.

One more time...not all Puerto Ricans have black in them. And you cannot assume that just because someone looks Hispanic/Latino, they definitely are. There are plenty of Middle Eastern people who live in New York City, for example, who can easily pass for Hispanic/Latino, and vice versa. I mistakenly spoke to a Persian female in Spanish thinking she was Hispanic.
There are so many white Puerto Ricans in New York City. A lot of those "white looking people" you see on the trains are probably Puerto Rican. I am guessing that whenever you see a black looking hispanic, then she must be a Puerto Rican. And the white woman is just a white woman, not Puerto Rican.
I said it before, and I'll say it again. Ignorance is not bliss...it's disgusting.

STOP using the term "Spanish" this is a language! You wouldn't say Americans are "English" because we speak English would ya?
The correct term is "Hispanic" which defines a CULTURE ! Only the ignorant Hispanics call themselves "Spanish."

You are correct but most of Cubans are also "mulattos" in CUBA. Although many Cubans are "white" especially the ones that came (to US) in the 60's to escape Fidel Castro but majority that came in the 80's are mostly mulattos.

Those Hispanics you see in New York are for the most part, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Haitians, Jamaicans and some Cubans. All these people are partially black or are not stigmatized against dating with them.
In L.A., the Mexicans and Central American Hispanics are staunchly opposed to mixing with blacks. They prefer Asian over them.
Come visit any of the universities here in L.A. or southern Cali. and you will more often than not sight an AM/LF couple nowadays.

I once went to a farm market in Fresno, California and saw that the elder tanned-skin Japanese, American Indian as well as Indian-looking Mexican have very strikingly similar features and build.
They all perhaps have origins in Siberia?

There are no real Latinos in NYC overall so how could you see Latinos dating anyone? The so called Latinos in NYC are Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and 1/2 black 1/2 white mixes. These people are mulatos, which means they are black, not Latino. The only real Latinos in the US are Mexicans, Central Americans and Cubans. None of these groups are really on the East coast especially NY.
Just thought I would clear that up for you. Visit CA or Miami if you want to hook up with real Latinos and not mixed black/white people with Latin last names.

Ummmm, Sailor Moon, as a Japanese American, I am highly offended by your stereotypes and generalizations about my people and culture. I don't doubt your good intentions, but nonetheless I find it inappropriate. My people have been here since the 1800's, like many Chinese Americans. My family and associates do take pride in our culture and heritage from the motherland. Why do you think we celebrate traditional Japanese festivals and events in Japan towns across the U.S.? I've grown up eating Japanese food and still do eat it, and I also speak somewhat of the language. If you want to accuse Japanese Americans of "selling out" or "wanting to be white," well, maybe because we as a group don't have hangups about who we associate with. We understand what it's like to be outcasts in society, being constantly questioned about our loyalties and past. We understand the pain of racism and hatred and have no desire to inflict it on other groups (i.e., calling the white man devils or raising hell about interracial relationships). Keep in mind more Caucasians assisted and gave moral support to Japanese Americans during the war and internment than other races and ethnicities. When my people are constantly the butt of mean spirited and unfair generalizations and stereotypes (you dirty japs are responsible for wartime misdeeds and other garbage like that) TO THIS DAY, also by other asian ethnicities in America, well, why wouldn't we say to hell with that and be proud of who we are and hang out with who we want regardless of race or ethnicity? We are Japanese, but we are also AMERICANS first. If you or others consider that being "sold out," then so be it. If speaking English or making friends of other races/ethnicities, especially white, without being self conscious about it, makes us sellouts, then so be it. My people spilled blood preserving this great nation, and I have better things to worry about than being ethnically/racially isolated in an ever balkanizing America.

To the person who posted that stuff about how Latinos feel about Japanese people I think you went way overboard and generalized too much. Whoever you are, you should have directed that post towards Asado if you had such a big problem with what he said and not at Japanese people in general. Japanese people are good and noble people with much to be proud of.
I am Latino and have known many Japanese-Americans and people from Japan and 99% are fascinating to talk to because they have such open minds and come from a culture rich in creativity, honor and tradition. Who the hell else could think up pop icons and characters recognized the world over from scratch like Godzilla, Voltron, Transformers, Pokemon, etc? That stuff is great and took a lot of imagination to create. I mean which person never watched those kinds of shows when they were kids growing up? It’s unfortunate that Japan is still resented by many countries in Asia but that is something I really do not know very much about first hand and thus a subject I don’t want to get into here.
It is interesting that Japanese people from Japan I knew during my undergraduate years in college saw some traces of Japanese culture embedded in Native American culture. I learned from talking to international students from Japan that many Japanese anthropologists study the uncanny similarities between some aspects of Native American and Japanese culture, which I think is very cool. After talking with one guy, this modern day hippie from Japan, I myself was able to see a connection between Japanese and Native American culture.
Anyways, for any Japanese readers here don't think too much about that “sailor moon” poster because I think that person was just letting off some steam directed mostly towards Asado and NOT Japanese people in general. That poster should have clarified this better. All Asians are cool in my book regardless whether or not they hate each other –hehe.

To this day, I have not seen an Asian Male with a Hispanic girl ! I live in NYC and in nyc you'll see everything BUT for me I haven't seen this combo yet !! I like spanish ladies very much but everyone I see is either involved with a spanish or black guy.

The movie wasn't something new for me. Such bigotry still exist. There are families who would not accept a different race man as the suitor for their daughter or sister even though he has got the money, status, or whatever. Simply because he is from a different race and one in which they perceive to be inferior. These type of things happen, I have seen for myself. Back then, I made a habit of trying to pursue the girl with more emphasis if her family was racist. But, now I realize, this only hurts all parties involved. Why is race so important? It is not a problem in non-white cultures and races.
