WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
This is pathetic you people. This is a forum about AM/LF not about some sociological and anthrological arguments concerning what a Latin is or is not!.
This just goes to prove that the relationships between Asian males and Latin females is virtually non existant.

[We agree. From now on, we will be omitting all historical/sociological discussions. --Ed]
Asian men are beautiful and very sexy. I love my Asian boyfriend and i think he has given me yellow fever. hehe I am a pretty hot girl and he loves showing me off. I have dated the freakin' rainbow, and he has treated me the best by far. Nothing will ever make me stray from my Asian hunny.

my god, these argentinians claiming they are better just because they are "white" it sounds so stupid. since when is white=better, i guess it´s just because in argentina the only indians were brave yet not very culturally advanced (this doesnt mean they were inferior) but just think about the indians in mexico and peru for example they were as intelligent as any white (maybe more) and the only reason they were conquered is because of the use of guns by the spanish army (powder=chinese invention)i am a mestizo but let me tell you i am prouder of my indian blood than my white one.

Anna
Its true not ALL Puerto Ricans and Dominicans are black or mulatto BUT like 99 % are. I live in NYC and in my young life of 26 yrs, I have come across maybe about 5 Puerto Ricans who looked white. Believe me vast majority in US are mulattos. Few white Puerto Ricans that exist are in Puerto Rico since they don't need to immigrate.
Just the facts

The racist comments on this forum is a reflection of the problematic racial issues in this country.
I am from Brazil and am of mixed ancestry, including black. However, as an individual I did not identify myself as being black just because I have some black ancestry nor did I identify myself as being white because I have some white ancestry. I am mixture of both. I indentified myself first as a human being; second, as a female; third, as a Brazilian; and last, as being racially mixed.
When I first arrived to this country and I first had to fill out the box for race on an application, I was seriously confused and did not know what to put since the categories were: caucasian, black, asian, etc. So, I approached my aunt later the same day and asked her how I should identify myself as far as race, and she replied, in this country if you're mixed with white and whatever other race, you are the other race.
A couple of years later, while attending a race class in my university, the professor talked about the conception of race in America. He asked the class, why do you think that in America once you're mixed with black and white for instance that you're considered black. The answer is that whites considered themselves superior to any other race
and that if you had a percentage of the other race (e.g. black) than you were not pure enough to be white. In order to be white, you would have to be mixed with pure white for at least 8 generation. So, if you are 7/8th white and 1/8th black, you would still be black.
The conception of who is white or isn't is an imposition by the white race in America.
Why should you be only one race when you are a mixture of both.
Stop caring so much about race!

Wow...
Asado, you sound really, really dumb. You should follow your own advice and READ books.

Since everybody is very interest in race read this:
Venezuela:
Ethnic Groups: About 68 percent of population mestizo (mixed race), 21 percent unmixed Caucasian, 10 percent African, and 1 percent Indian.
Mexico:
Ethnic Groups: Predominantly mestizo society (60 percent); 30 percent indigenous; 9 percent European; 1 percent other
Rep. Dominicana:
Ethnic Groups: Majority of mid-1980s population (approximately 73 percent) mulatto, a legacy of black slavery during colonial period. Approximately 16 percent of Dominicans white; 11 percent black.
Brasil:
Ethnic Groups: Portuguese, who began colonizing in sixteenth century, and various European immigrant groups--mainly Germans, Italians, Spanish, and Polish--constitute about 55 percent; mixed Caucasian and African, 38 percent; African (brought to Brazil as slaves), about 6 percent; and others--Amerindian (principally Tupí and Guaraní linguistic stock), Japanese, and other Asians and Arabs--less than 1 percent. São Paulo has largest Japanese community outside Japan, except for Hawaii.

Anna i feel exactly like U!! they always mix things, and then people are angry and say why everybody talks about race in this forum.
Hispanics in Latinoamerica was used ONLY FOR PEOPLE FROM SPAIN, but nowdays that has change because of the imfluence of the US, the term we used and still used a lot is latin,we always talk about a united "latinoamerica", but we know that in the US hispanics means latinos.
We are latins because we have mediterranean blood, first italians (latins) conquered others region (Spain, Portugal, etc etc) and turn them into latins as well, same here. Spaniards mix with the native indian and WE latins appear in the world. The big difference this time was that the mixing was beween a white culture an a nonwhite culture (indians). By the way the term was first used by the french who wanted to conquered latinoamerica, specially Mexico, so they thought."what do we have in common with the spanish america (america española) oohh i know we both share a latin origen".. kind of strange right? but the term was used ever since.
PS: sometimes we used iberoamericanos too. By the way most preffer latinos, nobody wanna left out ours brasilians brothers.

Just a major correction,
People from Spain ARE Spanish. People from England ARE English. Sometimes the language and the people with which the language is referred to, are one and the same. As in, Thai people speak Thai. But I get your point ;)
Another correction.
