WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
Absolutely everyone is linked. Otherwise we would not be able to reproduce. No one knows for sure what the truth is. Anyway, many Native Americans like to think that Native Americans were always in the U.S. This is more than likely not true, but who knows the variety of people who could have blended over thousands of years to create what we call Native Americans or Asians or Europeans or Africans. There are pyrimids in Mexico and pyrimids in Egypt...are they linked? Who knows. The truth is bigger than us.
The PAST is just that. The FUTURE is yet to come. TODAY is a gift - that is why we call it the PRESENT.
Loving the person, not the DNA

Whats up with all this DNA crap!!
Who cares????? I'm not interested in dating someone based on DNA. Some of you dorks need to get a life. No wonder some of you nerds can't get a date, girls aren't interested in starting a conversation with DNA analysis.
I'm Corean American, I've dated many Hispanic girls,I find them in general easier to talk to than let say Corean or white girls. My only concern have been many tend to get fat once they have kids or already have kids from what I've seen. I really don't like out of shape women. Any thoughts?

No one is denying that Native Americans or Poylineasian came from Asia. That has been prooven by many ways.
What is being debated is the fact that becasue they came form Asia, does that necesarily mean that they are the same race as mongoloids? The simple answer is, No.
No one can argue against the fact that american indians and polynesians came from the one same place of origin at one time, does that mean they are all one race? NO.
No one can argue that Caucasians, Mongoloids, American Indians and Polyneasians came from the one place of origin, does that mean they are the same race? No.
Then we also know that at one satge we Caucasian, Mongoloids, Nativer Americans, Polynesians and Negroids all came from Africa, does that mean we are all Negroid? No.
It is just as absurd to call a Chinese man a Caucasian or a Negroid because at one stage he and a Caucasian or a Negroid once shared a common primative-human ancestor. It is just as absurd to call a Native American a Mongoloid or a Caucasian or a Negroid becasue he once shared a common primitive-human ancestor with a Caucaisian, Negroid or Mongoloid.

To who cares!
"Scientists are studying the mitochondrial DNA and Y chromosomes of different human populations. These portions of our DNA are ideal to study if you want to trace where human populations have lived. We all (boys and girls) inherit our mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) only from our mother."
If this is true all the boys in latinamerica would show origins in Europe becasue all the fathers were Spaniard rapists who killed all the indian men and had offspring with the indian women.
We care.

You are right. I am Latina and I don't care about these findings. Quit living in the past and look forward to the future. And sorry to break your generalizations about Latina women but we don't prefer anyone in particular first. Well incidently we do, they're called good men. You know romantic guys, smart guys, caring guys, guapos muchachos, etc. The Asian guys around me have it going on and I date them almost exclusively.

I am 100% Asian and I've been with a Latina before. Latina meaning 100% Mexican. We never had any problems, just a few stares from people every now and then but we didn't care. I see nothing wrong with it at all, it was one of the best relationships I've ever had.

Asian Man,
It doesn't matter. Most Latina women who date interracially seem to prefer Persian, Arab and Hindu men over Anglos, Asians and blacks. I don't know why?
But, there is definitely a link between Asians and Amerindians (and , of course a connection with the Mextizo Latinos as well).
In the last few years numerous research groups around the world have been revisiting the question of the origins of the American Indians. There are mountains of evidence that point to them coming from Asia over 10,000 years ago (linguistic, cultural, morphological, dental etc), but scientists are now using DNA analysis to examine those same old questions
Scientists are studying the mitochondrial DNA and Y chromosomes of different human populations. These portions of our DNA are ideal to study if you want to trace where human populations have lived. We all (boys and girls) inherit our mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) only from our mother. Us boys only inherit our Y chromosomes from our fathers. Mitochondrial DNA and Y chromosomes don't get mixed up every generation like most of the rest of our DNA (nuclear DNA) which we inherit (50:50) from both our parents. Because it doesn't get mixed up, they are simple to study. In the Y chromosome or mtDNA DNA sequence can be found a record of all the past changes or mutations occurring in that particular sequence. Human populations that have mostly the same changes in their DNA will be closely related. Groups of Y chromosome or mtDNA sequences that are most similar are grouped together and called lineages or haplogroups. Most of the work has been done on mtDNA but the Y chromosome work is catching up.
Scientists in at least 20 research groups around the world have now tested the mtDNA of several thousand American Indians from almost 100 tribes all over the Americas. They have found that there are 5 different mtDNA haplogroups in Native Americans. Of the Indians they have tested about 99.6% have mtDNA that clearly came into the Americas across the Bering Strait over 12,000 years ago. When they compared them to the mtDNA of other human populations they were most similar to groups of people located in eastern Asia particularly people from Mongolia. The 0.4% of American Indians that have another mtDNA lineage are likely to result from interbreeding after the arrival of Columbus. They have found European and African lineages in these people and they more common in tribes that have had more post-Columbus contact
About 500 American Indians have been tested in Central America, including the Maya, and about 99.8% come from Asia. In South America, where they have had less contact since Columbus they have found 100% of those tested (about 500) to be derived from Asia.
----------------------------------------but, then again, it's not like Latina women would care for these findings.
who cares!
