At first I thought that LF are good to have fun with. But, lately there is this Guatemalan girl who works at the local Carl's Jr. I really have a liking to this girl. She actually looks sort of feintly Chinese and very Filipino. She's got a cute face and still wears braces. Her daddy left her family when she was a kid. She has 2 other sisters, but she is the only one in the family that works. She is 18 and still goes to the junior college. I see the look of happiness on her face whenever I drive through the takeout and chat with her. She's got no ring on.
There are currently only 10,000 Chinese left in Guatemala, but I am sure many had lived there in the past and their descendants melted away into the locals. Perhaps she could be one?
I know for sure that she is from the tribe of Mayas and Olmecs.
There is a big debate going on whether the Olmecs were heavily influenced by Shang China in the past.
Regardless, I want to go after this girl. And, it is not only for game this time! Her eyes and smile is too sweet to resist. I want to give her the best she deserves.

Yes, even the Chinese Cubans have black blood in them too. It is even more noticeable among them than it is for the white Cubans. Funny thing is that with the current problems in Cuba, those 3rd and 4th generation Chinese (mostly of mixed ancestry) are coming out of the closet and claiming Chinese origins and identity (because China is one of the few countries establishing relations with Cuba and doing business there). Most of the Chinese-Cubans by the 3rd generation already have adopted Spanish surnames and melted quietly into the local populace. The same thing happened to the Chinese in northern Mexico.
In Latin America, the Asians assimilated because they were given the opportunity to (ie. intermarriage with no gender imbalances, acculturation, amalgamation). In the USA, I have many 3rd and 4th generation Chinese American buddies who still views themselves different from society at large. Here, the color and race issue never escapes us. Here in the USA, even a black or Chinese from Cuba would be lumped with their African-American and Chinese-American counterparts instead of more culturally similar white and Indio Cubans. We look at outside appearances before we do culture here in this society.

I have seen such kids (Asian-Latina mix). They come in varying shades. Some come out looking more Asian, some come out looking more Hispanic, and some have traits from both races. But, there is a certain exoticism in them no matter how they look or turn out to be.
I know if Asian guys marry women from Guatemala or El Salvador, the kids always come out looking more Asian (kind of like Filipinos) because Central American Latinos have very subtle and feint Asian features themselves already.
