angelita,
Buddists are like most other religious people. There's such a broad scope that it's hard to pin point anything down. I think it depends a lot on devout their faith is. I grew up in a Buddist family. We went to the temple every now and then. We still practice a lot of Buddism. Yet I went to a Catholic school, was babysat by nuns as a child, went to church.

Morena-
I think you took it the wrong way. I don't care if that was your opinion, it still sounded really rude anyway. You don't have to be so immature about it. I was just trying to make a point. And no I am not in the miss latina pageant. But I can tell you that I DEFINITELY have it going on hermanita. Don't be jealous sweety. Its not my fault your man's looking at me instead of you.
Now, IMAGINE THAT.

I am curious what AMs views are on catholic religion. My ex was a buddhist. He always refused to go to mass with us. I never really understood why. It seemed like he hated the whole idea for some reason.

LA Woman,
I agree with you. Why does a guy need to feel like hes a real man by being controlling over his woman? To me that doesn't sound right at all.
Phoenix dude,
I have heard stereotypes about it before. I have heard some say that AM are always making the women walk behind them and put their women in check. That the women are submissive for a reason. I know that its all just stereotypes. I have AF friends, and they are not submissive and shy. I have dated AM and none of them behaved like the stereotypes. So its really a bunch of crap just like all the stereotypes in this world are. I don't believe in them.

in response to the comment by Morena-
I can't say that only a certain asian culture has goodlooking men. My boyfriend looks good, hes chinese. I have seen some cute chinese men and some who I wasn't attracted to. I have seen some japanese men who are ugly and some who are really cute. For me to say all of them are whatever-
that would be generalizing them. And I think you are being picky and rude talking about peoples heads like that.
MIJA I don't see you in the miss latina pagaent. So whats your real name then, Claudia Cruz? Or is it Karla Vargas? I mean, lets just be realistic here honey.

is it true that asian men are seen as womanizers in latin america? i've read that somewhere and thought it was interesting considering how we're portrayed in the u.s.

"But, with this Mexican girl, he felt like a real man. He felt that he was in control."
Hmm...something isn't right when a guy needs to control a woman in order to feel like a "real man."

H.Ngo I think its nice that someone cares enough to learn about my background history. Where I came from and everything. But I do think it is unecessary to try and educate somebody about their own heritage. I think I would be more impressed with a man who knows who he is as a person, and where hes going in life. For him to sit there and teach me social studies, I will be falling asleep on his ass for real. I am just being blunt. I am impressed with educated men though. Just as long as we can have something more important to talk about besides immigration, culturalizations, assimilations, sterilization, inflamation and all the other -ations'.
As far as looks, I have always been attracted to filipinos'. They have it going on!
