Can you believe this guy Don't Hate On My Latinas? First he says that we *mexicans* are more realistic about life.
Then he says we care more about status than the *puerto ricans*?
And then he has the nerve to categorize the puerto rican women in with blacks?

How the hell would you know any of this stuff anyways. Are you mexican or puerto rican female? No let me guess, you are cubanita? You need to watch how you put your words together before you post. Someone might accidentally mistake you for a complete DumbAss. Where do you get your cultural 411 on latinas? People like you that don't know a damn thing, are the first ones to run their big mouths.
I am open to dating Asian men. But I have dated latinos all my life. If the Asian man is intelligent(when I say intelligent, I don't mean an educated fool) not lazy and willing to really learn about my mexican culture?
And genuinely teach me about his culture? I think it could really work. But it will not work if he is going to act like hes some *know it all* who doesn't know it all.

asians have come along way, what you said is stereotyping..
you obviously never seen some real 'sing jai's. when a asian goes badboy he goes BADBOY. these hop sing/ hip sing/leoung jai's are no joke. I don't see american badboys trying to do what they been doing. and thats the triad, we got the azn crips in la. the abz, rd, wahching, fd in nyc.. you hang around with them and tell me if they match up to badboy standards....asians are no different from any other race.. don't try to make it seem asians can't have a badboy image like we lack something. thats just nonesense.

Anyways that is my fiancee's comments. Mine? I like aggressive {mine definitly was and still is!} and highly confident latinas who know what they want and go after them.

actually if you know "real" asians, regular rice is prefered over fried-rice. but you're right, it's unfair to categorize switchblades=gangsters. i didn't realize that connotation until now. but am i wrong to think that in latin and hispanic cultures "machisimo" is valued in a guy? i don't think that's somehow the "wrong generalization" to have, there are certain cultural traits that you can't deny. for example, as much i dislike the "reserved asian male" image, it's still true that asian cultures teach guys to be the strong-but-silent type.

I notice that alot of assuming seems to happen. I am a chicana. I don't like someone telling me that all of us are a certain way. Especially if the person isn't even latino or latina. I have plenty of friends who are chicanas, cubans and puerto ricans. They are not all the same. Everybody's different. People should get to know each other's cultures by communicating with each other on a personal level. Not by having a couple of little experiences and reading from some dumb books. Its not good to gather all your info from word of mouth either. When you assume, it just causes hostility. And it breeds room for prejudice and confusion. Most assumptions about other cultures nine times out of ten are always wrong.
