WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
kiko,
I'm a mexican chick.
I think korean food tastes sooo good! I completely dig it. My favorite is spicey squid. I forgot how to say it... ujino? uljino? or is it ojino? well, I don't remember so please don't laugh or get mad. But it tasted fantastic. It was served with vegetables and rice and appetizers. I also loved the kimchee, and bulgogi. I think korean food is the best! I also love mexican food though. Gotta give it mad props :P YEP!
I have three close male friends that are from korea, and four that are mexicans. I actually have more guy friends than that, its just too many to list on here! I hate it that I have so many guy friends and no boyfriends. My guy friends always want to tell me about how they like some girl. Or even
"Hey Joanie! why don't you introduce me to your cousin shes really cute"
I dress feminine, act feminine, and am always told how pretty I am by alot of people. But I do like going to football games and basketball games, I love sports. Especially soccer! I love soccer! If I go out to someplace nice, I wear a skirt. My hair is really long but I wear it up most of the times. I hate wearing dresses and makeup. I don't need makeup, I don't have any blemishes. Oh well. Do men like a bunch of makeup and stuff? What turns men on really? What do they like? I don't wanna dress slutty to attract guys. But then again I don't like being seen like a guy all the time either.

LATINA,
Kentucky is like that. There is a growing Korean population here. The mexican, cuban and vietnamese population is also getting pretty big. We have a place called 'Little Saigon' here in the southend. Out near my martial arts school, there are alot of korean businesses, churches and resteraunts.

i have a very close el savadoran friend that i met from my last job. we keep in touch every once in awhile. we're both single and i think that we would go out with each other if one of us steps up and say lets give it a try. she's very beutiful and nice and thats what i like about her. on the other hand, she lacks knowledge about the asian culture and sometimes makes little not so favorable remarks about asian people and things. there is no doubt that all she knows about asians, she learns from television. she doesnt mean to offend, right after she makes those remarks, she would try to say things to fix the situation but to me it really makes no sense. she's really a nice girl but just dont know any better. anyway, that's one of the reason i kept myself back from dating her. that reason, and the fact that i get so many god damn stares from people when we go out to the malls and other public places. it really is frustrating

What do latinas find the most attractive in AM? I know that many people say, "Like me as an individual, not for being asian".
I know this is important, but lets be honest here. There are differences with men in different nationalities and cultures. I would like to know what attracts latinas the most?

Does anyone know any movies that have asian men and latinas? I don't know of any. I wonder why? How does society see this sort of relationship? Do they see us as an unlikely pairing?

Kiko,
I have to disagree with your statement that Chinese food tends to be "soaked in oil". American chinese food most definately is. However, authentic chinese food is completely different. It's not as cut and dry. The variety of dishes and cooking styles is mind boogling. It varies from region to region. My grand father has been cooking and learning Chinese cuisine since his early teens and still can't account for 1 single characteristic or technique that compliments all Chinese food.
Xuxa,
A lot of immigrants complain about the flavor of meats within North America. My family was no exception. Farming practices here tend to be concerned with mass production and quantity rather then quality (EX: steroids). Also the meats here are frozen before preparing whereas in other countries the ingredients are bought fresh from the market.

I used to have a boyfriend from Argentina name Zekiel. He first showed me the mate and I thought it was marajuana too! LOL! It looked like water bong! When he first present it too me I said,"You know I don't do drugs. What are you doing?"
LOL!
I have been to Argentina 4 times now. I love it there. It is so beautiful. I have been to Europe before. Argentina feels like Europe.

I'd have to say that Latina women are just so exotic and special compared to other races. They also have that nurturing mentality that is so unique. I'm enamored with them.

The "mate" is very good. I really like its bittersweet flavor. I wish they had them here in the united states. I miss it.

Tiwa,
I am going through that now. My boyfriend insists on us moving to a big city. First he was saying Los Angeles, then Chicago, and now New York. We found out that I am pregnant not too long after he asked me to move in with him. So now we are fighting about where to live. Hes afraid that I will take his baby that is in my belly, and just run. I have thought about it. I love him but I hate New York City. It is wonderful to visit. But to live there? Its very difficult to adjust to. He likes the cultural diversity in New York. I have only lived in Mexico, and Texas most of my life. The towns I lived in were quiet and relaxed. New York is one big frenzy hell hole. I agree that this sort of thing can put a strain on a relationship.

Why am I not suprised? You're a combo of Spanish and Italian from Argentina.
You could say thats the typical Argentian mix, anyway, its nice mix. I was so struck how Buenos Aires is like Eureopean cities, They said Buenos Aires is the Paris of South America. I'm sure you miss Argentina.
When I first saw mate I though it was marijuana..haha. I think its a cool tradition.
Asado..mmmmmmmm.. You are right. Argentian beef is so dilicious. Its all I ate in Argentina, beef, pane, and vino. Its not a place for vegetarians.
Corean food is spicy and fresh, its not like Chinese food, which is more readily pleasing to western palettes, since its mostly is soaked in oil. I think Corean food is not for everyone its more of a acquired taste. If you like noodles try "mul nang myung" its dark noodles in cold broth with some vegetables thrown in. Its great on hot days since its cold. Or try traditional beef dishes like " kal-bi" (short barbeque ribs) or " bulgogi" (marinated thinly sliced beef" woooooo...its great!
You'll love it! I'm getting hungry, got to eat.
What brought you here to America?
Hey isn't "Xuxa" a Brazilian actress?
