WHAT YOU SAY

I'm 15 and 5'2 and i've got 28 inseam. I wish i can grow more. I blame my height on early puberty. It is so hard to find the right pair of pants that fit. "Ankle" pants from Gap are too short for me, "Regular" fits fine but it's just a little too big on the thighs. "Petite" sections in department stores carry pants that are simply way too big for me. Children size pants are too small on the hips. God! i hate being short.
Should I start wearing heals with my long denim pants. WOuld it make me look fake? or even hookery?
I swear that I'd be so happy if i grow just two more inches. I'd give almost anything for those two extra inches on my legs.
For those asian girls out there who are over 5'4", You are SO Damn lucky~!!!
I have a friend who's 5'5" who thinks that she's too tall and wishes that she can be shorter. God i just wanna kill her sometimes.
Does anybody know if there're some kinda surgery out there that boost your height.
I know i'm being a real height-a-holic, but every short girl goes through this stage, some point in their life.

i'm a eurasian girl who looks asian (except for my rosy porcelain complexion w/ a 'caucasian' nose), and people have said that I have a unique style that fits me. my fashion mantra is wear what you feel comfortable in and is true to you. my favorite outfit is a pair of tan raggedy hiphugger cords that hang off my body (it's hard finding clothes that don't make you dissappear when you're 5'2" and 95 lbs...) with a fitted white underwear tanktop, no bra. I always wear Saucony sneakers (staying tru to my dj/former kandykid raver roots) the look goes with my general outlook on life-- simple, unadorned and understated but kinda unexpected (and some say sexy but not in a pornstar way). i keep my slightly wavy thick auburn hair either really long or bobbed collarbone length(depending on the hair phase i'm in)and wear a little makeup, just a bit of black eyeliner in the corners of my eyes to enhance em, with two coats of mascara. who needs overwhelming clothes (flashy, 'tacky-on-the-wrong-person' clothes) when you can keep clothes really understated and allow your face to take center stage?

I personally love to wear clothes from Banana, being a college student. I'm not big on clubbing, and for my lifestyle, it fits the bill. The clothes are clean, classic, classy, and last forever.

Bonjour Korean Fem in Dixie,

I'm finally back in the good ole U.S. of A., Chicago as a matter of fact. Alas...and I was just beginning to really enjoy England (yes, after 7 years).

Living in Paris sounds great! Have you done the Loire valley chateaux BTW? Or are you too busy hanging out at the chi-chi Faubourg St. Germain (sp?)?

If you've not been to England before, you might find it a bit of a disappointment initially since the French are so much more glam, fashion and architecture-wise. At least, when I visited London for the very first time right after seeing Paris, I wasn't too impressed. Versailles, French cuisine, ye gods--how could anything else compare??

However, style-wise, the young Brits have lots of attitude: very quirky and imaginative! If you're *tired* of Paris boutiques, London has some kick-ass high street stores like Karen Millen (my fave) and Topshop on Oxford Circus in London (kind of cheesy but has great accessories and jeans...supposedly lots of celebs hang out there if you're into that stuff). The clothes at the French Connections there are also a lot better in fabric and style than the ones here in the States.

Enjoy!

Wear what you want. You make your own statement and fashion. Just because the fashion "elites" make the calls on what makes it into stores doesn't mean that you have to wear it. Just think, only a couple things each season from certain designers make it big. Fashion comes and fashion goes, but comfort and uniqueness will always be in style.

To Korean fem in Dixie-
Are you for real? You sound so shallow. I hope you are just kidding. But if you're not kidding, you really don't need all that designer, expensive stuff if you've got natural beauty and you work on your own personal style.

Korean Fem in Dixie,

What is your favourite LV design: the traditional mono, checks, epi-leather or mono?

I've been dying to get the denim print mono in England but can't seem to find it since it's just been discontinued. *Sigh*

BTW, I agree with you on designer overkill. I like Chanel, but there's nothing more mundane than someone with the double C logos all over themselves...unless it's Connie Chung!

oh and I almost forgot...
a shiny Cartier watch that glistens with each movement

I don't care what anyone says, I luv designer labels whether it's clothing, shoes or accessories but I keep it balanced. I never go for the logo/designer overkill because that looks cheesy as hell!!for ex, I'll wear a dress or an outfit that is streamlined, dark & cutting edge paired against a drop dead pointy heel(i.e. gucci) and a killer bag (pref LV), a real jewelry such as diamond studs or a expensive crystal bracelet(i have one that's japanese made & costs $500, looks really groovy) dosen't hurt to finsh up the look

To Asian Female Worshiper-
Har Har. In your dreams, babe.
Hapa Chick    Saturday, July 14, 2001 at 05:34:11 (PDT)
I could care less about color. A cute Asian girl (young woman) dressed from head to foot in shiny plastic, rubber, leather or vynal is a mega turn on. Toss in a thick black main of long hair and nothing on the planet comes close.

Any of you cuties got some available pictures dressed like this I can have?

Female Asian worshiper    Thursday, July 05, 2001 at 15:14:20 (PDT)

because majority of the asian woman are petite, makers that carry a petite section usually fits us better. The difference between the regular sizes and the petite sizes is not only in the length. The crouch area is a bit shorter, and much more flattering rather than a regular that would hang too low. Couple of stores that carry petite sizes are:
Ann Taylor
Ann Tayor Loft
Nordstroms
Off 5th
Petite Sophisticated
&nsp   I also found that Benetton's size 38 runs smaller than that the uaual 2's.
Hannah_p22@hotmail.com

me too! I hate the black and tan combo! too many people wearing that!
but I hate more than anything else, the cheap "slut"/"goddess"/ other cheezy logo in sequins baby tshirts. If I had a daughter, I'd never her wear that!
