GS: How is it with a roommate?

LP: I was surprised I offered because I'm very sensitive about my space. My home is my escape from everything. I've never had a roommate. One roommate situation I had was really horrible and I got out of it a month into it. But she's great, really clean and organized and it's almost like having a sister. We get along really well, we know when to leave each other alone.
"I'm now at the point where I'm obviously living very comfortably but I invest my money."

GS: Do you have a sister in real life?

LP: No. I have a brother, which is a totally different experience. You can't borrow his clothes.

GS: You can nowadays.

LP: You can I guess.

GS: How old is your brother.

LP: He just turned 22.

GS: You're only 20 and you already have your own house. Sounds like you've been working straight through since you were three.

LP: Yeah, I really have been pretty lucky.

GS: What's the money like?

LP: I'm now at the point where I'm obviously living very comfortably but I invest my money. I bought the house and I put money away here and there. I want to plan for the future because being an actor is very unpredictable.

GS: It doesn't seem to have been unpredictable.

LP: Not yet. Everything happens for a reason and I think there's a plan for me and I've been taken care of and I've been sort of steered along this path to probably a lifelong career the way it's going.

GS: Since you're reluctant to talk about how much you make, let's talk ballpark. Do you make six figures a year?

LP: Yeah.

GS: Mid-six figures?

LP: Mid-six figures. My dad and I just did our taxes and he said he just barely made more than I did. He says, "Thank goodness, I'm still making more."

GS: What does he do?

LP: He's an advertising executive at a radio station. He's a very hard worker.

GS: He sells...?

LP: Airtime

GS: Where does he live?

LP: They live in a Los Angeles suburb.

GS: Is that where you're from?

LP: Yeah.

GS: Where were you born?

LP: Arcadia California on December 6, 1976.

GS: What were your parents doing at that time?

LP: My mom was a homemaker. My dad was just starting an advertising business with my grandfather at that time. They ran into trouble. Some guy they were working with ended up stealing money from them and they had to declare bankruptcy.

GS: We understand your mom was a beauty queen.

LP: She was. She was brought to the states by adoption when she was 13. She had tuberculosis for the first couple of years she lived here, so she wasn't in school, she was doing home studies. She recovered and went to school in her junior year of high school and entered a beauty contest at Pasadena High School and won. She was Miss Viewfinder for Vivitar Cameras. PAGE 3
