Following her standout performances in Sinners and Alma and the Wolf, Li Jun Li prepares to join the Marvel universe alongside Nicolas Cage.
Actor Li Jun Li has firmly established herself as a versatile powerhouse with her supporting role in Ryan Coogler’s 2025 supernatural horror epic, Sinners. The film, which earned 16 Oscar nominations and has grossed over $368 million worldwide, saw Li deliver a performance as a mother protecting her family in the segregated 1930s South.
She further proved her ability to carry a film as the titular lead in the 2025 psych thriller indie Alma and the Wolf.
Li is best known for her starring role as Lady Fay Zhu in the 2022 Roaring ‘20s Hollywood epic Babylon. Inspired by the legendary Anna May Wong, her portrayal was hailed as a standout, earning critical acclaim and global visibility alongside stars Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.
Beyond the big screen her television portfolio is extensive, highlighted by lead roles in the 2019’s Netflix action-crime series Wu Assassins, Fox’s supernatural horror anthology The Exorcist, and Fox’s 2015 crime drama Minority Report.
Li’s upward trajectory shows no signs of slowing, as she has been cast for a series-regular role in the 2026 Amazon Prime Marvel series Spider-Noir, where she will star alongside Nicolas Cage as a sophisticated nightclub singer in 1930’s New York.
Born in Shanghai Li moved to New York City at age nine. She developed her disciplined approach to performance at a prestigious performing arts high school, where she specialized in dance.
